The god SUCELLUS Silvanus wields a mallet in a manner comparable to the shillelagh-wielding wild men of the woods and to the grúagach in Insular tales and represents his role as a provider of wood for tools and weapons. His "olla" cooking pot betokens his capacity for purveyance and is evocative of the Dagda's un-dry cauldron. Like the brown Dagda, he is stout, sturdy, downy and clad in a tunic. Story- Part 1: Hades, god of the Underworld. One day, he took his three-headed dog Cerberus out on his chariot- leaving the Underworld and going up to Earth.He decided to take his three-headed dog out for a chariot ride. Hades left two spirits to guard the gates into the House of the Dead, to replace Cerberus for the time he would be gone. Hades flew his chariot up to earth. The dog ran up to a beautiful young woman, the goddess. Persephone laughed and pet Cerberus' heads.
