Gratitude Painting #25: The Medicine Wheel. I'm embarking on a year long medicine wheel ceremony this year with seven other women. I'm grateful for the circle and for the journey that has already begun. #gratitudepainting
Gratitude Painting #21: Grateful for my Hands. Everyday my hands serve me- they carry, open, touch, type, reach, grip, push, close, paint, write, dial, and so much more. I appreciate their grace and strength, their wisdom and experience. As a pair my hands are priceless and miraculous every single day of my life. #gratitudepainting
Gratitude Painting #31. Grateful for the Amazing State of Oregon-- the painted desert, snow capped mountains, vital rivers, dramatic coast and of course the hippest city in the USA- Portland!!! #gratitudepainting — at SunRiver/Bend.
Gratitude Painting #23: Grateful for gluten free pizza! Yum! #gratitudepainting
Gratitude Painting #19: The Sweat Lodge. Today I'm grateful for the beautiful lodge that is just 5 minutes from my home and has been instrumental in reconnecting me with parts of myself long forgotten. The sweat lodge ceremony is ancient and powerful, grounding and awakening. It is a place of prayer and community. Most importantly it is time to sit on the earth, quiet the mind and breathe in the whispers of the steaming stone people.
Gratitude Painting #30: Grateful for my feet-- they have carried me over an 18,000 foot Nepalese pass; tolerated years of gymnastics and dance; been at the ready when I wake up in the morning, rarely complaining about the shoes I wear or that some days they don't see/feel enough of the earth. My feet make every movement possible. When they protest, I do my best to listen. To walk with intention and today I will honor these loyal companions of mine. #gratitudepainting
Gratitude Painting #29: Grateful for weekly massages. I made a list last year of what would make me feel I was living in a world of plenty. While it's easy to think that big bank accounts would create that feeling I realized that I was far more nurtured by the quality of my life.
Gratitude Painting #28: Grateful for my iPhone. This little device guides, files, talks, listens (sometimes not very well!), records- visual and audio, organizes, communicates and plays my beloved audio books and music. It keeps me connected to my loved ones and finds me in an emergency. I appreciate the beauty of its form and its function, and pause, right now, to give thanks to the designers, technicians, chip makers-- #gratitudepainting
Gratitude Painting #27: Grateful for my Daily Book, which is all of my ideas, notes, to-dos, reminders and calendars rolled into one, very personalized tool for recording connections. It's my hard drive, my daily creative container and my outlet. Love using lots of color with ink running through the pen onto paper. #gratitudepainting
Gratitude Painting #26: Grateful for Clean Windows-- clean windows make me happy dance around the living room- the sun streams in unfettered. I bask in the pure reflection- makes me think about all the times I looked out of dirty windows, so to speak, noticing the distortion but not getting that I could quite literally clean them, with my own two hands. #gratitudepainting
