Expensive Ribbons and how to use them on your tree without cutting them or stretching them to go farther | By Ricky Hannah Designs | Guys, let's talk expensive ribbons. I've been flooded with questions about expensive ribbons and how to do it. So, I'm going to show you two ways that you can either not cut your expensive ribbon or stretch out your expensive ribbon to go further. Okay, first way, take your ribbon, your expensive ribbon here, unroll the whole roll. You're going to take this whole roll, take it off, Gonna take it off the spool and then you're going to find both ends of your ribbon. We're going to take end to end here. We're going to find the center right here and we're just going to gather. I'm just going to do it just like this. So, I'm going to go into the tree here and I'm just going to take and wire the center here of this ribbon. From this here, you can just Take it and do you a loop. We're going to do one loop here. We can even go in and do this tight like so. Right here. We'll do one here. Now, you can just bring these ribbons down through the tree here like so, twist, maybe some loops like this and bring this down. I'm going to do the same over here. Kind of go in different areas. Then, I'm going to go in with OS Expensive Ribbons and I'm going to show you all these. We're just going to do our tails like I showed you. We're going to do just two loops just like so Cut. Do in here. Gather. Loop. Okay. And then, where I have pinched my ribbon into the tree, I'm just going to lift the branch and go in with this. On top. So now as you see I've just gone in and added some floral stems right here just so you can see how that works. On your tree. So this is option one. Okay so maybe we're going to do three because I just had another idea. I have this great red velvet. This is a five inch wide red velvet. So I'm going to show you this would be really cute to do as a simple tree. I'm just going to gather this just like so on this I'm going to twist. So now I've got both tails going this way. And I'm just going to do a quick center loop. So I'm going to do something like this. So I've gathered this on top. We're going to do this. This also can be an expensive ribbon too and then you not cut it. So I'm going to do one loop right underneath there. So I've just did a center loop. One loop. I'm going to go in and do a second loop right here. So, I'm making a big bow here. Got this going and now, I'm going to go over here to the top of this tree looping through the middle of that center loop and then you can do the same with this ribbon and tuck it in This style would be great if you had a lot of the Christopher Radco, the blonde glass ornaments and things like that. This would be a great look to do with that. Okay, so this way does require you to cut your ribbon but I'm going to show you how you can stretch it. So, this one I'm going to start with the bow here. So, I'm just pinching and gathering. Doing a loop Doing another loop. And then I'm going to cut this tail. Now, I'm going to go in with this great red velvet doing a loop and a towel. Cutting that off. A fabulous black and white right here. Gather that in doing just a loop and a tail of this. Bring this around. And then here is the candy cane. All I'm going to do on this here is I'm just going to go in with a straight tail of this on the back. On this particular one I'm going to cut in between the candy cane. So I don't cut a candy cane in half. So I'm going right here. Then I'm going to take my wire. Twist. And now I'm going to pull this bow apart. I can go in and cut my tails later. So now this is a perfect bow to put in the side of the tree. It still has your focal ribbon in there. But now this is going to stretch this bow so that you can get this to go throughout an entire tree with one roll. Alright and this is that in the side of the tree. This same bow can also be used on a wreath. It could be used on a mantle. It could be used multiple locations. But that's how you're going to stretch out your expensive ribbon. Especially a four inch ribbon. You could also do the same with a smaller ribbon just do like a tail in the middle and also get those colors into your bow.
