1.4M views · 43K reactions | Easy DIY candle holder using Jack O Lantern jars from Dollar Tree #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #dollartree #dollartreediy #dollartreedecor... | By Windy City Crafts | Here's part one out of three of my DIYs using these Dollar Tree jackolantern jars. So first I grabbed one of these candle holders also from Dollar Tree and one of these candle plates also from Dollar Tree. I went ahead and took all the stickers off using some black chalk paint and a cut up Dollar Tree sponge. I just began dabbing that paint all throughout and I like using the sponge because there's no brush strokes and it leaves you with this nice, smooth finish. So, I just painted both sides just to make sure that it is completely black and then to seal and protect that paint, I just used some Waverly wax. I just put some on a paper towel and just spread that all throughout evenly. I went ahead and took the hanger off of the jackolantern and I'm using my favorite Dollar Tree Fix All Adhesive Glue with mixture of hot glue. A little bit goes a long way. I just put some of the fix all adhesive glue on the bottom of the jar with a mixture of that hot glue and place that right on top of the candle holder and then carefully put more of the Fix All adhesive glue and hot glue around the top of my jar and then just placed the candle plate right on top and you want to allow those glues to completely dry for about 10 minutes. And then just place one of your favorite candles on top and now you just created this adorable, easy, and inexpensive candle holder.
