Every Ring ordered will have pictured Sturdy 3 Split band. This style of split band will ensure that the ring stays balanced on your finger and stays put on the top of your finger does not spin around your finger! Notice our signature moose stamp on the bottom(pic). To create these rings, the stone is set in a pure Sterling Silver custom bezel and the rest of the ring is made from reclaimed Sterling Silver, that we make from our scrap silver. (see Process Below.) All the rings are 100% handmade in our little shop in the White Mountains of Arizona from our collection of Arizona and Nevada Natural Turquoise, sourced, cut and hand polished ourselves. Our Reclaimed Silver: To reclaim the metal in this ring, Sterling Silver scrap is melted. It is left over from our jewelry making and tufa casting. We melt it into ingots(chunks) that are then rolled through a hand rolling mill to create square wire or flat sheets. That wire or sheet is cut to size and hand shaped using hammers and anvils. Tufa stone is a natural soft white stone that can be carved in relief to form a cavity to cast hot metal into. Designs are carved for rings, pendants and bracelets, but mostly we cast ingots and reshape into wire or sheet stock to make other beautiful one of a kind creations and original jewelry pieces. One thing about reclaimed sterling is that it gives a rustic look as there is always more impurities in the mix than commercially purchased sheet and wire. We add some 999 pure silver to get the purity back up to 925 industry standards, but the look will be less glitzy than its' commercially produced cousin. Our Hand wrought pieces will always look more handmade than factory made! The big manufacturers have more sophisticated equipment that can control the process like a robot. That is one way you can tell a small shop creation apart from a mass produced one.
