Upcycle those precious t-shirts into a quilt to treasure over the years! This pattern will walk you through the process of creating your very own t-shirt quilt from start to finish. After creating quilts for customers over the years, I have finally put all my tips and tricks into an easy-to-use pattern for those of you who have found yourself saying, "I could make that!" I believe you can and I want to give you all the help to make it happen! The squares on this blanket are 12 inch squares, which captures the front or backs of most standard t-shirts. The shirts are stabilized with a fusible interfacing to reduce puckering and pulling while sewing and washing (another process I provide tips on). There is a 3 inch border of sashing throughout the quilt. I recommend using soft, solid flannel for the front and back of the quilt and a light batting for the middle of the quilt. The pattern comes in three of my most requested sizes: Lap - 48″ x 48″, 9 squares total in a 3 by 3 grid Throw - 63" x 63", 16 squares in a 4 by 4 grid Twin - 93" x 63", 24 squares in a 6 by 4 grid There is a comprehensive list of materials, as well as some suggested but not necessary tools. Throughout your t-shirt quilt making process I am available to answer questions and provide more support as needed. Please do not hesitate to reach out and send pictures of your finished products!
