You will need: 💓folder pockets or any other sort of envelope 💓DK yarn or cotton 💓2.5-3mm crochet hook 💓hole punch - make sure that the holes are the right size so that your hook can fit through! 💓 Yarn needle and scissors . 💙 STEP 1: punch holes into your pockets, roughly 1cm apart. Make sure they're not too close together or they could tear. 💚 STEP 2: 2dc (US 2sc) in every hole, add 1ch when you get to the end of your pocket. 💛 STEP 3: 2dc into your next pocket and repeat step 2 until all of your pockets are crocheted into a chain of bunting with 1 ch between each one. Fasten off and sew in ends. 🧡 STEP 4: fold your pockets back up like an accordion to make the book shape. It looks prettier if your front pocket has the right side of your crochet showing outwards. ❤ STEP 5: starting at the 2 front pockets, [1ch, 1ss ] into the back loops of the first and second pocket together. Do this in every stitch. This binds the folder and makes the spine. 💔STEP 6: turn work, add the third pocket to the second pocket, [1ch, ss ] into the front loops of the second and third pocket together. Do this in every stitch. 💜 INSTEAD OF STEP 5 AND 6: you can whip-stitch the pockets together if you prefer. Repeat until all of the pockets are added, fasten off and sew in ends. Then add whatever you want to the pockets, whether that be keepsakes, letters....travel toiletries even....or in my case, Etsy order packaging labels. .
