Have you ever wished you could shield your younger self from the past and bear the burden yourself? It's a dichotomy really. The you that believes you could bear it wouldn't exist without the trauma your younger self had experienced. That's the feeling this song captures for me.
The song takes us through the story of a girl who's trying her best to put up fences and walls around her younger self, but in all her efforts, she realises all she can do is look back with kindness and love.
