FAQ

Questions, answered

Is this image to STL converter really free?
Yes. Every mode — photo relief, logo extrude, lithophane and keychain — is free with no watermarks, no account and no conversion limits. The whole tool runs in your browser.
Do you upload or store my images?
No. Your image never leaves your device for free modes. All processing happens locally using Canvas and WebGL. AI Full 3D is the only mode that sends an image to a generation provider.
Which image formats can I convert to STL?
PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG, GIF and BMP all work. A PNG or SVG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result for logos and keychains.
What is a lithophane?
A lithophane is a thin 3D printed panel whose thickness varies with photo brightness. Held against a light, the image appears. Print in white PLA, 100% infill, standing vertically.
Is the exported STL watertight and printable?
Yes. The generator builds a closed, manifold mesh with a solid base and exports binary STL that slices cleanly in Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio and Orca.
Is this an AI image to STL converter?
Free modes are deterministic heightmap or silhouette conversion — not AI. AI Full 3D is optional and paid when you want a full 360° mesh from one photo.

About

A private image to STL converter for makers

Most img-to-STL tools promise a full 3D model and deliver a mesh you cannot print. This free online image to STL converter treats flat artwork as a heightmap or silhouette — the honest route for logos, reliefs and lithophanes.
