Hello everyone, I am Rahul and I work in the security team for ZkSync. As part of my job I have to keep pace and assess the security risks of different (zero-knowledge) cryptography protocols being used. All I can say from reading up on the bugs until now is that the cryptography protocols that you are expected to implement have mathematical guarantees of security (soundness + completeness + Zero Knowledge). ANY optimisation that you make warrants doing a rigorous mathematical analysis of this "efficient" cryptography protocol again, lest you get rekt. At the very least, you should be able to mathematically reason about the changes you made and *prove* that the changes you did not alter the underlying assumptions of the protocol. Case in point: Last Challenge Attack (optimisation in FS implemented for a PLONK proving system)

With the focus on improving my privilege escalation techniques, I have successfully completed the LazyAdmin room on TryHackMe. 🔍 Leveraged Gobuster to meticulously enumerate hidden directories, uncovering valuable pathways within the target system. 💻 Uploaded a PHP reverse shell, ingeniously gaining access to the vulnerable host and establishing a foothold for further exploration. 🔒 Exploited a critical vulnerability by identifying a script allowing manipulation of the reverse shell's IP address, effectively escalating privileges and demonstrating a classic technique used by attackers to attain remote access to compromised systems. #TryHackMe #Cybersecurity #EthicalHacking #InfoSec #PenetrationTesting #LearningJourney
