CULTURE & EDUCATIONAL SPACES

Being part of a movement. Design in the means of making things visible - needs fresh thought patterns that do not follow a traditional grid, but create worlds of experience that make the future an essential part of the here and now. Interior architects, product designers and philosophers come to us every day to create living worlds and favorite objects together with you that ensure sustainable growth. Growth in creativity, individualization, net-working, economic goals and well-being.

Die Eiche | The inside turned inside out
Creating a place of reflection. In the midst of the dead - with space for conversations and thoughts. We have dedicated ourselves to this task in the architecture and interior design of the columbarium in the old granary “Die Eiche”, where a total of around 3,400 urns can be placed and the deceased can be remembered in a dignified setting. We developed the concept for this special place and designed rooms and furniture that do justice to this wish and build a respectful bridge between history and modernity.
Cineplex | long live the cinema
Off to the plush armchair. Popcorn in one hand, soft drink in the other. The lights are dimmed, the projector rattles - film on. Here, detached from space and time, we can forget everything around us for a moment. Scripts are created - not just on the screen, but in our heads. Cinemas are places for the really great stories. We were able to redesign just such a fascinating place for the Cineplex.
Hopfengut No20 | once the hops scratch
The transformation of Hopfengut N°20. What was once a museum has evolved into a multifaceted experiential space, integrating retail, a show brewery, gastronomy and an event hall. Designed to engage visitors through a dynamic, seasonal program focused on the essence of hops – the green gold.
Toy museum riehen l learning through play
"Man is only fully human where he plays". As the poet and philosopher Friedrich Schiller once said. The Toy Museum Riehen is such a place where visitors young and old can - and should - indulge their spirit of discovery. A place where the objects are not hidden behind showcases, but can be experienced. We accompany the Toy Museum and not only provide the matching construction site poster for the time of the reconstruction, but also a new logo and a new name for afterwards.
Cafeteria BSZ l break room for power snacks
More food for the brain. It's available in the canteen of the Friedrichshafen industrial school. After all, there has to be room somewhere for juicy salad and delicious lemonade. And for those who want to know exactly - for example, why lemons float but limes don't - there are boards with special smiling knowledge. After all, school is a place of learning. These unique break rooms were designed by the creative nerds of atelier 522.
Die Eiche l architecture of the encounter
Lübeck's Hansa harbour has calm waters. A gentle breeze blows around the brick facades of numerous buildings steeped in history. In the centre of the old town stands an imposing clinker brick building with a decorated wooden gate: the columbarium in the old granary "Die Eiche". The individual approach to death - embedded in the culture of the city of Lübeck, sociologically broadly located, accompanied by well-curated art - manifests itself in a place with a philosophy all its own.
Lindau state garden l sustainable meeting area
Where flowers bloom, the world smiles, they say. The city of Lindau invites to the garden show "Natur in Lindau" and the picturesque region at the foot of Lake Constance will be transformed into a sensual experience of gardens, water and panorama. We are developing the concept and implementation planning for the 70-square-metre pavilion, which aims to attract visitors to the region at a central location. As a sustainable meeting space, the pavilion is also to find a purposeful use after the exhibition.
Lemonthree l sustainable neighborhood planning
Man-made environments and structures of a material or mental nature, transform homogeneous, boundless and "natural" space into individual places with specific cultural history and meaning. "Sportive" space is domesticated by architecture into cultural space that expresses and determines our behaviour, thinking and feeling. Architectural space mediates between the natural and the artificial, expanse and confine-ment, community and individuality, past and future. The aim of our architectures is to continue structural developments in the city and in the countryside in order to create new, aesthetic living space in harmony with people and nature.
Muks l more room for adventure
A monkey, a horse and a whole suitcase full of gold pieces meet talented and inventive daredevils with fantastic abilities, like turning the day upside down. The world of children is free, explorative, wild, strong, intuitive and limitless. Children are immune to pragmatism and are a constant reminder of what we used to want to be. So what could be more exciting than being able to see the world through children's eyes?
Hopfengut No20 l once the hops scratch
... as we all know, it never lets go. It was no different for us when we immersed ourselves in the world of hops. For Hopfengut No20 in Tettnang, we created a coherent brand concept and breathed life into it. The former museum was transformed into an entire world of experience. We also added a shop, a small but fine show brewery, a stylish gastronomy area and a brand new product range plus an event hall. Framed by an exciting seasonal programme all about the green gold.
