Yes, we insulated our roof deck with open cell spray foam then 1x4s were added so the metal sheets could be screwed in place. So from outside in we have our metal roof sheeting, wood frame, spray foam insulation, metal sheet ceiling. Does it echo? No, not with furniture and rugs,etc. Does it get dirty? So far, no not at all.
