Red wing: The British bird series.

The red wing is a winter visitor from Scandinavia? It arrives around late September or early October to feed on the abundance of berry bushes such as hawthorn, holly and yew, when it is snow covered back in its own country. The redwing has a distinctive white eye stripe, and red under the flanks, and is speckled all over the under belly. you will find it in flocks in winter in the British Isles.
