CAD Drawing Video Picture Gallery Q&As Shipping & Delivery Assembly Info CAD DrawingTraditional Attached 24' x 12' Pergola KitThe following CAD drawing shows the default installation configuration, which is to install the posts such that the beams and rafters extend 12 inches beyond the outside edge of the posts, creating a 12-inch overhang.Each of the posts can, however, be installed further out (such that the post's outer edge is flush with the beams' and rafters' outer edges resulting in no overhang) OR further in (as much as 3 feet in, creating a 3-foot overhang).See the pictures below the CAD Drawing for a side-by-side comparison of a traditional pergola with and without overhangs. Standard Installation With Overhangs This picture shows the standard installation with posts installed 12" in from the end of the beams and rafters, creating 12" overhangs. Overhangs can be as much as 36 inches. Alternate Installation No Overhangs This picture shows an alternate installation with posts installed flush with the ends of the be ms and rafters (and with flat end caps), resulting in no overhangs.
