JAMINI ROY - Untitled
Jamini Roy’s artistic language stands apart for its innovation and the importance it accorded to Indian artistic traditions. To find his own style, the artist experimented with material, medium and imagery along with visual language. While he is most known for his work with tempera made from local pigments, binder, and water, Roy also worked with gouache, ink, watercolour, and oil. A work on paper, made with pen and ink, by the artist goes up for sale in tomorrow’s Absolute Tuesdays auction.
MITHU SEN - The Rest Has Been Edited Out...

Juxtaposing intricate and large forms, conflating animals, humans and inanimate objects, and combining drawing, painting and collage, Sen’s works provoke both humour and serious consideration on the part of the viewer. A work by Sen is all set to appear in tomorrow’s Friday Five auction. Register and place your bids on the lot via the link in bio.

LALU PRASAD SHAW - Untitled
“My work is a confrontation towards my understanding within. People have two identities. One is constantly changing, and one is changeless. We must confront both at the same time and believe that there is something changeless in you, even though the world around you is constantly changing.” - T V Santhosh
