Good design knows no gender - Design Story I Wilkhahn
Good design knows no gender. When the designers at PHOENIX created the Intra conference chair for Wilkhahn, that was precisely the idea: a conference chair that breaks through hierarchies and challenges gender stereotypes. The organic shapes, comfortable upholstery and integrated controls symbolize a modern understanding of management culture. This is why Intra was initially only available with a low backrest. There should be no throne in a conference, only equal participants.

Oceanic furniture fabric
The Oceanic furniture fabric made by @camirafabrics is only made of recycled plastic waste. Plastic waste from the oceans and old plastic bottles are reused in the fabric made. As a result, the new upholstery materials underscore Wilkhahn’s standing as a design and environmental pioneer. We combine first-class seating-furniture design for a diverse range of office spaces and homes with seminal materials – all in the interests of an eco-friendly circular economy.
