In The Moon Garden

A Celebration of all aspects of the Moon Garden,with an emphasis on fragrant flowers & herbs.I will be including the whimsical along with the practical,from legends associated with the Moon,Stars,& Night,to concrete suggestions for how to create a soul satisfying night-time retreat.I promise to include nursery sources,with reviews if i've ordered from them.Bear with me if a stray poem is stuck in with the lists of fragrant night flowers;or its a bit heavy with paintings of fairies by moonlight.I am an old artist with a weakness for such things!But I am also an old organic gardener who gardened for fragrance for over 40 years.I am STILL learning-for there is an amazing variety of plants,& I have loved growing them since infancy! Climate change has thrown us a bit of a curve ball,but I believe that with care,and attention to details,we might still avert the worst.As gardeners,our responsibility to the environment is a heavy one.Our pesticides,herbicides,& even our synthetic fertilizers, can harm the land,water,& all the creatures who reside upon it-including us! It is for this reason that I garden organically.I also have been including more natives(many of which are fragrant)-in my garden,in an effort to save declining bird & butterfly populations.Moon Gardens are entirely compatible with greener gardening techniques-right down to the lovely solar garden lights available now.So,let us learn new things together,as I build this board !
