Iโm not sure what it is about breakfast foods, but I just love them. BRING ON the pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, bacon, eggs, etc.! In this post, I wanted to introduce you to a new recipe, my Breakfast Strata Cups!
Strata is typically made in a large 9ร13 pan, but because I think individual portions feel so much more special, I baked mine in individual ramekins. (My ramekins were 8 ounces each.) Isnโt the presentation beautiful?
I believe I found these particular ramekins at HomeGoods. While I tried to find a link for them online, I was unsuccessful. However, here are a few cute options worth of your mini strata!
- Honeycomb Ramekins โ unique pattern
- Gridline Ramekins โ love the design
- Round Soufflรฉ Dishes โ classic design
- Ramekin with Handles โ available in colors and love the handles
As you can imagine, the flavor combinations are almost endless. For my breakfast strata recipe below, I used sausage, cheddar cheese, red bell pepper, and green onion, but feel free to use what you like or what you have on hand.
I like to serve my Breakfast Strata Cups with a side of fruit, orange juice, and coffee and tea to make a complete breakfast. Want more delicious breakfast / brunch recipes? I created a collection with all of my favorites! You can find those HERE.

Absolutely! You can assemble the strata cups a day in advance and store them in the refrigerator. When youโre ready, just bake them according to the recipe instructions. Itโs a fantastic way to save time, especially if youโre planning for a brunch gathering.

Yes! These strata cups freeze beautifully. Just make sure that your ramekins are freezer/microwave safe. You can reheat the strata cups in the microwave at 30-second intervals until warmed through.
