We all could do a lot better; me first, me included. Whether speaking of romantic connection or familial love, responsibility and friendship, it’s painfully easy to unconsciously take for granted those nearest to us in proximity and intimacy. My hope is that I can responsibly and compassionately tend to the saddest parts of myself and be better for me and my people. I deserve that and so do they. What a gift to be loved and to grow in love for others. What a flex to forgive and to be forgiven. I want to be strong like that.
