"Mayo sin rosa hace el alma triste". (Creo que la traducción correcta del francés era: Mayo sin rosa hace el alma melancólica... por cuestiones de espacio cambie "melancólica" a "triste").

"May without rose makes the soul sad". (I think the correct translation from french was: May without rose makes the soul melancholic... for space reasons I've changed the word "melancholic" to "sad").

El año pasado realicé el bordado del refrán de mayo diseñado por Dany y hoy por fin puede ver la luz

Last year I did the May proverb embroidery designed by Dany, and it finally can see the day light!

Esta es la novena vez que hago este pequeño estuche siguiendo el tutorial Trousse pique-épingles del blog de Véro (Mon aiguille). Me encanta por ser muy práctico, el primero que hice lo uso en casi todas mis labores. En esta ocasión agregué un bolsito interior extra con un trozo de encaje.

This is the ninth case in its type that I make following the Trousse pique-épingles tutorial from Vero's blog (Mon aiguille). I love it because is very practical, I use the first I made in almost all my sewing works. This time I added an extra interior pocket with a piece of lace.

El primer estuche que hice era muy pequeño, cuatro de mis tijeras no cabían en el y por lo tanto tuve que hacer un estuche un poco más grande (sólo añadí al patrón 1 cm. todo alrededor).

The first case I did was a little bit small for four of my scissors so, I had to make this one slightly bigger for them to fit in (I only added 1 cm. all around to the pattern).

Ahora puedo llevar conmigo cualquiera de mis tijeritas, ya sea en un estuche o en el otro ;)

Now I can take any of my scissors with me, either in a case or in the other ;)

Estos dos son míos, los otros han ido a parar en manos amigas de países lejanos ;)
These two are mine, the others have ended up in friendly hands from distant countries ;)

Y aquí, ¡todos los estuches que he hecho hasta ahora!... Seguro con el tiempo vendrán más, aunque no por el momento :D.

And here, all the sewing cases I've made so far!... I'm sure more will come, eventually, but not anytime soon :D.

Estuche para cámara - Camera case wristlet

Últimamente he estado aprovechando las ventas especiales del $5 Friday de Michelle Patterns y así me he hecho con varios de los patrones de este sitio. Como consecuencia, mi lista de proyectos de costura ha aumentado considerablemente, así que este es el primero de muchos de los patrones de Michelle que verán aquí ;).

Lately, I've been taking advantage of the $5 Friday sales at Michelle Patterns and, as a result, my sewing list projects has increased considerably and I'm sure this is the first (of many more) from Michelle's patterns that you'll see here ;)

Me encantan los patrones de Michelle porque las fotos e instrucciones son muy claras  y como las plantillas vienen incluidas no tengo que tomar medidas, algo que detesto hacer.

I love Michelle patterns because the pictures and instructions are very clear and easy to follow and, as templates are included, there's no need of fabric measure, something that I hate to do.

El bolsito trasero es muy útil para guardar la batería extra y las tarjetas de memoria.

The rear pocket is very useful for storing the extra battery and the memory cards.

Lamentablemente el patrón para este bolso fue retirado del sitio (junto con varios más) para hacer espacio a las novedades. La venta especial donde yo lo conseguí consistió en un paquete de ¡21 patrones por $5 dolares!! Les aconsejo estar pendientes de las ventas del sitio el día viernes, la cual termina hasta el día lunes... Así no seré la única en alargar su lista de proyectos :D

Unfortunately, the this pattern was removed from the site (along with several others) to make room for the new ones. The special sale where I got it consisted on a package of 21 patterns for $5 dollars!!! I suggest you to take advantage of her $5 weekend pattern sale... so I will not be the only one enlarging my sewing list of projects :D

Regresé... - I'm back...

Después de esta larga pausa de casi cuatro meses estoy de regreso, con una labor muy sencilla y rápida de hacer, pero al fin de regreso...

After this long break of almost four months I'm finally back, with a very quick and easy work to do, but finally back ...

Las plantillas para hacer este simpático bolso en forma de gatita las encuentran AQUI... En mi versión utilicé botones para los ojos ;).

You can find the templates for this kitty-pouch HERE... I've used buttons for the eyes ;).

El bolso es para una de mis sobrinas, ella aún es muy pequeña para usar maquillaje, pero seguro tendrá varias cosas más que pueda guardar en el.

This pouch is for one of my little nieces, she's still too young for wearing makeup, but I'm sure she'll find several things to keep in it.
