Pochette à Miel

Por fin puedo mostrarles este pequeño bolso del que me enamoré hace dos años cuanto lo vi en el blog "Des fils et une fille". Entonces no me animé a hacerlo porque no tenía idea por dónde empezar a hacerlo y fue hasta hace poco en que creí que ya era hora de intentarlo... Me costó algo de trabajo armarlo por lo pequeño que es, pero aquí está...

I can finally show you this little pouch from which I fell in love two years ago when I saw it on the blog "Des Fils et une fille". I did not dare to do it at that time because I had no idea where to start and it was until recently when I thought it was time to try it... It took me  some work to put it together, but here it is...

¡Me encanta el resultado! No está mal para haber sido el primero que hago, aunque creo que el próximo lo haré con hexágonos un poco más grandes :)

I love how it turn out! Not bad for being the first I do, but I think I will make the next one with slightly bigger hexagons :)

Como pueden ver, he reciclado este porta cepillos de porcelana y resultó estupendo para exhibir algunas de mis tijeras de bordado ;)

As you you can see,  I've recycled this porcelain toothbrush holder and is wonderful for displaying some of my embroidery scissors ;)

¡Por fin hace unos días comenzó a sentirse el clima otoñal aquí en el centro de México!

Espero que donde quiera que se encuentre, ustedes también estén disfrutando de buen clima :)

Una cajita redonda... A little round box...

Hace unos meses les mostré la caja de un tequila que reciclé; si no lo recuerdan, pueden retroceder en el tiempo y verla aquí. Esa caja de color morado hace ya algún tiempo que encontró un nuevo hogar en España. En ese mismo post está la foto de otra cajita pequeña, la cual había quedado pendiente; ¡por fin salió del cajón del olvido y se renovó!

A few months ago I showed you how I recycled a tequila box,  in case you don't remember, you can go back in time and see it here. That purple box found a new home in Spain some time ago. In that same post there is a photo of a small box; which finally left the drawer of oblivion and have been renewed!!!

Un trozo de tela, un par de adornos y un bonito bordado hecho con el mismo diseño del calendario que Gwen nos obsequió en Diciembre pasado.
A little piece of fabric, a couple of embellishments and a beautiful embroidery made with the same design from the calendar that Gwen gave us last December.

¡Tiene el tamaño perfecto para guardar pequeños tesoros! :)

It has the perfect size to keep little treasures! :)

Esta cajita forma parte de un regalo de cumpleaños muy, muy atrasado y va camino a Argentina, donde estoy segura que encontrará un pequeño espacio en su nuevo hogar :)

This little box is part of a very, very late birthday present and is on his way to Argentina, where I am sure it will find a small space in it's new home :)

Reciclando con gusto a tequila... Recycling with tequila taste

El bordado de esta cajita redonda es un diseño gratis de Virginie Goussé de C Mon Monde. Este diseño sólo estuvo disponible en el mes de abril para quien lo solicitara a su creadora.

The embroidery of this round little box is a free from Virginie Goussé of C Mon Monde. This design was only available in April for those who requested it to Virginie.

El diseño es muy sencillo y hermoso, sin duda lo bordaré en otros colores ;)

The design is very simple and beautiful, without a doubt I will embroider it in other colors ;)

 Seguramente se estarán preguntando el por qué del título de ese post... pues bien, eso lo veremos más tarde, primero vamos a admirar un poco más el bordado :D...

Surely you will be wondering why the title of this post... well, you´ll see it later, first we are going to admire a bit more the embroidery :D...

 

¡Y aquí está la parte del reciclado!!!... La caja que utilicé para el terminado que vieron arriba era originalmente el empaque de una botella de tequila; es la caja más grande en la foto. La cajita pequeña era el empaque de unos chocolates rellenos de tequila, esta aún no la he terminado pero no se preocupen, algo haré con ella ;)... Después de cortar ambas cajas al tamaño deseado, forré con tela la caja más grande y le coloqué un lindo encaje,  puse el bordado a la tapa y listo, muy fácil como han podido ver.


And here is the recycling part!!!... The box that I used for the finished that you saw before, was the packing of a bottle of tequila (it is the biggest round box in the photo). The small box was the packing of tequila filled chocolates, this one I haven't finished yet but don't worry, I will do something about it ;)... After cutting both boxes to the desired size, I covered the big box with fabric and put a pretty lace, placed the embroidery to the lid and that's it, very easy as you can see.

Y ya que hablamos del tequila, me gustaría mostrarles el frasco donde guardo las hebritas sobrantes de hilo. La botella era de tequila y además de los hilitos me gusta poner muestras de perfumes, así los hilos quedan con un aroma muy agradable. Con ellos ya he rellenado uno de mis alfileteros, así reciclo las hebritas de los hilos y las hilachas del lino para que no terminen en la basura ;).

And since we are speaking about tequila, I would like to show you the glass container where I keep the thread clippings. It used to be a bottle of tequila and as you can see, I put perfume samples so the threads gets perfumed and smells really nice. I have already filled one of my pincushions with them, in this way I recycle the linen and embroidery threads clippings so they don't end in the garbage ;).

De ahora en adelante ya sé que hacer con las cajas de chocolates rellenos de tequila que tanto me encantan... una vez que me haya comido los chocolates, claro está :p...

From now on I know already what to do with the boxes of tequila filled chocolates that I love so much... once I have eaten the chocolates, of course :p...
