This short album contains a collection of solo electric guitar improvisations dedicated to our dear family friend Hanspeter Horner. Hanspeter was a brilliant theatre director with whom my father Justus Neumann worked closely for over 40 years. Together we would rehearse new works here on Bruny Island (in the exact room this recording was made) and then perform them in Vienna and around Austria, where my family is from and where Hanspeter lived.

These improvisations were recorded while HP was still in hospital.
Before recording I decided to play all these notes for him, a meditation of sorts, this is the sound of me trying to send him some positive energy - from Adventure Bay to Vienna. In the music I find myself grappling with the ideas of distance, space and connection, which one could say are mirrored by the no-frills production of the recording and a marked departure from the density of my previous releases.

HP was an absolute character. A true force of nature and one of my heroes.
