Having fun with girly dies

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here with my two first  cards made with our Die-Versions most gorgeous Girly June release.
I must say  as beautiful as this release is, it's kind of a hard  one for my style. I am not so much girly in my designs and the dies I got were so much teen girl ( this forgotten age in Shalom family). But yet, I really love DV dies and with a little or a lot of " brain storming" I found those Couture papers from Graphic 45 that I have for ages and never used  for the same " hard to use" collection and  both dies and papers were a great fit for those girly girl cards I made for you to showcase a couple of dies from this release.
So here is a first one, made with Whispers Diva Purse and Whispers Dressing table.

I also added some fantastic " old " dies to my card: Pretty frame and Border lace, that was cut 3 times.
I think that the overall theme of Girly girl is covered and I just added this Congratulations sticker and some pearls to my card.

My second card for today was made with  the very same Dressing table die that was die cut twice for the shaded look and this new Wee petites Diva Accessories that were die cut  with black cardstock. Then I added some glitter glues, black enamel paint and red pearl paint to make those wee cuties more realistic. I also added this Binding edge die cut from one of the previous releases to frame my focal image.

Hope you got some girly inspiration and see you again in a couple of days with another new release project.

Thanks and Love with IBS

New fancy vintage card made for some web challenges only... It happens here and there, you know.
So I used my lovely Inspired by Stamping stamps - 3 sets used here, my old  Graphic 45 papers (use your stash thing), and my new and delightful FWAB flowers and  blings. Then I decided to make it for Die- namites challenge, so I used their sketch and leaves die cuts (covered with a  think layer of FC DMC Gelatos and glazed over them). What else? The basic layer (strips) is a recycled paper pack packaging; lace is from IBS store too and twine is ... who knows, just old leftovers.I added a bit of red washi tape for a pinch of color and then 2 red heart pins and I am really pleased with this card.

And for the challenges

Perfect papers for Art impressions- use 3 or more papers; I even made dry embossed one and stamped over patterned papers only

Visible Image (not Friday): Mirror, mirror on the wall

Hello, my dear Visible Image friends! I know that it's not Friday today, but for this week only I post today, as I take part in a big blog hop on Friday and want each post be visible and not lost. So here is my stamped project for today: card made with this gorgeous and MUST  HAVE Classic  Face Visible Image stamp.

Actually  I got an idea about this card when I got this brass mirrow (from Handmade Halo shop). I  knew I would love to make this "Mirror, mirror on the wall..." theme.
I used DCWV shaped cardstock, then misted some Pink Paislee mistable cardstock, added a lot of washi tapes and a piece of  misted Love My Tapes lace I won last month (but it was white and yellow, so I changed the color). The face stamp was stamped  twice with 2 ink colors and double matted. The last touch were those Bo Bunny letters for a title and this brass mirror (so  adorable one). I like this vintage look of this card, and yet not too much mess or embellishments after all. All you need is one great stamp and one great charm.

BTW: this stamp is  so perfect to make ATC , just right size and the image  has a lot of white space to add more stamping or things over it. I promise to make some in a week or two.

Hope you got some inspiration from this piece and now jump to Visible Image shop to get you some great and non expensive stamps. New releases are just around the corner! See you next Friday with more Visible Image inspiration!

Small canvas with a lot of techniques

This project made Top 3 on Simon Syas Stamp and Show tape challenge.
This project was spotlighted on Anything but a card challenge
My new  Mixed Media piece: a very small canvas  with a lot of stamping, mediums and details.
This 4*4'' canvas and I used distress stains, Gelatos, Pitt pen (all gold), mask, molding paste, gesso, alcohol inks over metals to change this silver color of them, glitter and a lot of stamps. The Lady face is from Graphic 45 vintage set, also  one of clocks and some more stamps are from 7 Gypsies set. Stickers and metals are TH and flowers? They were Prima before I made them mine! In between a few washi tapes were added for the interest and a texture  and it's again about Life  being beautiful.

Born to read

Yes, that's me! The ultimate  book worm. When other people swim, bike or shop during their big cruise, I am reading. My DH decided to take this photo to show the world what his wife is doing during our 6 days Greece cruise. Reading is was. OK, I took all shore trips too. And ate 6 meals a day. And even won about 130$ in Casino (last night, took 20$ for slots, was lucky)
But I brought 6 books and I had to finish them all. Done! Here is a proof of it.
And this lo was also made to prove that school paper line from Graphic 45 can be scrapped for my crazy adult addiction.
All page is pure Graphic 45 (I won this line on their FB contest- thanks a lot). Then I used some border punches, Spellbinders book dies, AC letters,Prima and Petaloo flowers, A2Z Scraplets chipboard heart swirl and some Epiphany Crafts round bubbles and a vintage metal setting. Just look on those images cut of the paper: same position as me. Even same side.

Dance me to the end of love

This Leonard Cohen song was my inspiration for a long long time. I am an addicted folk dancer and both I and my DH dance more than a decade and I am talking addiction (2-3 times a week for 4-5 hours and sometimes the whole day marathon).  Then I thought those old vinyl record  need to be altered and then I found this Graphic 45 set of paper I never used, as I was keeping it for some music project. And bingo- here was my title, products and inspiration born.
I really love this classic shabby project and hope you do too.

It's a Mixed Media altered project: I stamped over the record with Prima  music stamp, clear embossed  with Wow Clear glossy regular embossing powder with a heat gun. All record edges were heat embossed with  Wow Gold  Rich embossing powder and I even gold embossed those buttons I got as FB win from Blumenthal  Lansing button company (thanks, and I actually got 4 pounds of heart buttons for my next 100 years of crafting). Another Rak used here was a red ribbon and Heart doily from the most gorgeous win on Scrap it girl (again, I have hearts for the next 20 years to craft with- thanks a lot). Some red " blood" drops were made with Creative Inspirations Garnet paint.

As for other products:
Flowers- Prima and " late" Sassafrass
Letters: Prima , MM and fabric red ones from Paper Studio
Ribbons: Webster, Maya Road  and Prima
Punches: Martha Stewart
And a special award to MELODIA old (45 years old) record my DP brought from a former USSR and  never used since early 80th.
So here are lyrics from this song- you need to read to understand the state of mind I was during my craft.
And some challenges too:

My Graphic 45 altered project

This project was Cupcake crafts winner- thanks
This project was featured  on Passionately Artistic blog- thanks
This altered item is made with 3  recycled  dental supplies package cubes and a lot of Graphic 45 paper. So all cubes were covered with Graphic papers cut with a square die- it just was a perfect fit.
Then some of them- on  sides- were covered with another paper layer- made with one smaller square die. Three fronts were also covered with die cut frames-  not the same die set, but old square one with frames .

3 scalloped circles were cut with Scalloped circles dies using the back paperpad cover- another great recycling- and added on the tops of those cubes.
Then the embellish  process began:
Scroll die used on the left upper cube side with Life is beautiful sentiment.
The huge double cut from 2 dies butterfly was added over the lower cube over another small  die cut circle- this is an inside of the upper Round Frame.
Another circle frame was made with  a Round Frame  die  for the front of the upper cube and then embellished with Leaves  die - a lot of cuts; Flower die set for the hand made flower; Bird and a birdhouse on the top cube, Fluorishes all over the project were the final touch around some  hand misted white Petaloo flowers. I also added some " from my junk box" items: pink pearls, clear crystals, a pin with a charm, ribbons, lace, tulle,  some small Petaloo flowers and so on and so on.. All project was heavy inked with Ranger distress inks and I love the final result.

Good old time office holder

A very old  office holder I decided to alter in vintage style.

I used Graphic 45 papers and die cuts together with TH and other metals, some lace and some mediums:inks, 3d crackled glaze.
 And some challenges:
Old fashioned for ABC
Not a card for Spoon full of sugar-
