@3: Altered Mixed Media Birthday canvas

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This altered canvas was made for my dearest 3 yo grand daughter (she is 4 now already, but who counts? ).
I made it for three web challenges for January.
The first one is 7Dots Use three colors challenge and I used their cardstock, stickers and tags to make this art piece.

The second one is More than Words and they asked for Birthday with Tags inspiration.
January Main Challenge

The last one is for Scrapki- Wyswaniowo and they asked for vellum. I used printed in gold vellum for a die cut and as a part of my cluster matting.

As you can see I used tons of stencils over the canvas and over the cardstock as a part of my design. Quite a few die cuts added interest to this canvas. I used just two colors of paints and mists to make it a good fit for one of the challenges and there are stamping over the matting pieces and as the main part of the mixed title. The stamps are from Magenta.
A few different mediums were also used to make this canvas, such as white crackle paste and peach pearl stencil paste together with mists and paints from different origins.

Congratulations card with Topflight Stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new weekly Topflight Stamps post.
This week I am going to share my new card made with Leane Creatief most gorgeous doodling stamps and it;s really my very first time ever to use a Champagne bottle and a glass stamps on my creations.

I made a very general Congratulations card in just two tones- pink and black and white and it fits for several events, such as a weddings, Birthdays and just general celebrations of whatever you want to celebrate.

The card layers were made with dies and one was also dry embossed with a kind of bubbles.

The stamped images were heat embossed with black embossing powder and then colored with pink and grey watercolors.
I made white pen doodling over the grey color and black pen doodling over the pink.
The yellow color is actually gold pen, but hard to see the golden sparkle on the photos.
The only embellishments added are those dark pink rhinestones.
The sentiment die cut was cut twice and glued one over another for the contrast.
Here is the stamp set I used to make this card and you sure can see how different it looks if you use different colors for the bottle and for champagne inside.

I really hope that you like my pretty card and you can see more of my work in my own blog HERE.

Collect Beautiful Moments shadow box with Penelope collection

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here today and I welcome you to my new craft tutorial made with a video tutorial.
Shadow box with Irit Shalom

This shadow box is very easy to make and it can be used as a real gift box or as a gift card holder or even as a photo frame.
Just make one or many with the most gorgeous BoBunny new released Penelope collection as as you can see this project has no Mixed Media products or hard to get ones. On the other hand even if you only have this paper collection and a few BoBunny embellishments you can make this beauty in a really short time.
This is how it looks when opened:

One side is just the embellished side and it should be pretty flat if you want to close the box after all.
The  deep box side is embellished just a bit as we want it to be ready for the small gift or photo or whatever you wish to add inside.

As you can see the left inside has some depth, but not too much.

The box right side has the space for anything  you want to add  inside.

Here is another close- up to the left box side.
I used wooden heart shape, some hand cut from the cardstock flowers and a couple of die cut pieces (the parts of the larger die cut frame from Ever after cards dies.
The cover was embellished with the same hand cut flowers, die cut leaves and some paper and fabric flowers with the add on of the wooden birdcage and some rhinestones.

You can see all steps on this video link HERE:

And also the products list was added to the video, I add it here again  for the easier  future use.
BoBunny products used to make this project:
Penelope collection 12*12'' cardstock: Moments, Abbey, Grace, Laugh, Live
Ever After card dies
Lovely Leaf dies
Double Dot Aqua jewels
Double Dot Emerald jewels
Licorice jewels
Heart wood shapes
Birdcage wood shapes

Thanks for being here with me today and for watching my video. I am still on my learning curve, but I think it's easy to understand tutorial and hope you would try to make the similar project some day.

Song of Ice and Fire altered canvas

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Mixed Media canvas post.
This pretty large canvas was made as a tribute to one of most favorite books- Song of Ice and Fire (also most of us know it as the most famous TV production named " The Game of Thrones").
I am a big fan of all things fantasy and SF and everything that maybe is not real, but makes me happy to watch or to read it.
So I made it for a couple of web challenges and you can see the challenges under the project photos.
As you can see it has the vintage Mixed Media background made with stencils, texture paste, Prima Mixed Media products , Tattered Angels  paints and mists.
Then I added the smaller altered canvas over the large one and then the tag was added with the chipboards ad trinkets cluster and the saying.
Actually I used a lot of products over this canvas: painta, mediums, waxes, micro beads, silk and paper flowers, chipboards, metal pieces, cardstock die cuts, foil transfers, stencils, lace, chain, wires and even this fabolous jewelry ice drop on the front.
And I even used nver used old brads to make the grid background to look as the wooden pieces connected in this oldfashioned style.

I made this project for a couple of web challenges:
Favortie book for Canvas Corp- my inspiration came from old books with vintage looks, journal cover on the bottom and general colors.

Fantasy for Mixed Media and Art- my inspiration came from the theme and gold splashes and general fantasy look of this canvas.

@Mom card

This easy to make card is just lace, circle dies and old American Crafts Thickers.
But it was in print in Garden April issue of Craft Ideas magazine.
I am so sorry that this magazine is out of print from the next Summer issue.
Less and less print magazines are now on the market.
Is it good that everything moves on- line? Not so sure. I still love the printed things and the smell of paper.
Don't you?

Colors of life layout with Scrapberry's

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second Scrapberry's post for May.
As usual one of my projects is a layout and this layout was made with gorgeous photos I took last Fall while travelling  in Macedonia and Albania.
The photos are from the lovely park in not so much known Albania.
So I used Mediterranean Dreams collection also both countries are not really Mediterranean ones, but just close.

I mostly used patterned cardstock to make this layout.
Lots of dies were grabbed to add some interest to my page.
One larger flowers cluster was added on the right corner of the lower photo over the cardstock title that says " Colors of life".
Yes, they sure have colors in Albania. Not sure how much of life they have in this poor, still very much communist small country of Eastern Europe.

Here is the cluster made with a tree die cut, some paper and some resin flowers.

And I sure added a hand written journalling:
Albania 2016.
Looks like Paradise.
Feels like 50 years ago.
And as I was born in a former communist country I know how it was looking .

I hope that you like my layout and my use of Scrapberry's new collection.

Congratulations mini book with Scrapberry's

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and today I am going to share a lovely mini folder made with Scrapberry's Birds of Paradise delicious collection and a lot of Scrapberry's embellishments.
I used the 6*12'' chipboard piece that was folded to make the folder and added two eyelets on the front cover fold.
The whole piece was covered with different Scrapberry's cardstocks from this wonderful and  bright collection.
I added hand cut birds on the cover and made them in  this 3d image.
The bird cage was die cut to add some contrast and some more interest to the cover.
All embellishment pieces and the sentiment frame were colored with real gold metal paint.
The lace was tied inside the eyelets to close the folder.

This is how this folder looks when open:
As you can see there is a small  cardstock covered notebook on the left side.
The middle part was covered with magnetic sheet and it's the perfect place to add exactly two event magnets.
The great thing is that you can change the magnets and to add some new ones from the new events to come.

Both right and left side were embellished with stamped and painted Scrapberry's chipboard plates.

This is how it looks when half open only:

And some close- ups to the embellishments cluster.

I enter this piece to some web challenges:
Anything goes with dies (DV uses on the  inner cover) for Scrapyland

Happy New year paper ornament with Scrapberry's

Hello my dear crafty friends and Happy New Year to  you all!
My first blog project for Scrapberry's for 2017 is a round Happy New Year ornament and it is a kind of a card too.
As you can see I used a very new fancy Scrapberry's paper collection named
Elegantly Festive and it was just perfect for this New Year ornament.

The basic layer was die cut from solid cardstock and then I added more and more die cut circles using different cardstock from this fantastic collection.
The smaller circles , including the sentiment from this collection, were die cut with stitched circle dies and the candle was die cut with stitched oval dies.
Then I misted one white flower into the purple color  that fits the general colors of the project.
More small paper flowers were added and the metal charm snowman and a couple of small resin flowers were the final touch of this project.
Silk white ribbon on the top can be used to hang this ornament or if you use it as a card, just as  the extra embellishment.

I hand cut a few shapes (bird and clock) to add them to the ornament.

Fall book box with BoBunny

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first December BoBunny media post.
This time I made a Fall box in the same folded book box shape and used the most delicious Farmers Market collection.
It says Goodbye Summer of the front cover and Hello Fall on the spine (not much seen).
I used a wide range of BoBunny products such as cardstock, stickers, chipboards, stamps, dies, flowers and everything in between.
I also made a full tutorial, but the time is short and I decided to drop it after all.

Christmas cards with Makin's Clay

Hello my dear friends! Today I am going to share a couple of Christmas  cards I made with  embellishments from Makin's Clay.
This is a first card and as you can see this sweet big Angel on the card is made with Makin's Clay White clay in a mold and them covered with clear glitter.
You can make a lot of casting in molds with Makin's air day clay and to use on your Christmas cards and other projects.

The second card is in the very similar colors, but here I made a few Makin's Clay embellishments using Makin's Clay Christmas Nature push molds and Red Makin's Clay.
All clay pieces were covered with glaze for the shine effect and I added some black acrylic paint over the poinsettia flowers centre.

Vintage book with ARTplorations

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second  May inspiration made for ARTplorations with their stencils and stamps.
This time I made a book cover/mini book cover (easy to add some binding system and to add pages inside).
I decided to stay in this vintage monochromatic mood and worked with gold- black and brown color only. Yes, the  flower is yellow, but this is just the last second add- on  to add more interest.
I used Square links stencil and a sentiment from Trendy Butterflies stamp set with DecoArt texture crackle paste and Mixed Media line fluid acrylics over the thick cardstock cover  where I glued an old book page. Everything else was heat embossed with clear embossing powder over the black painted  with DecoArt chipboards. The stamped word was covered with glaze inside the chipboard frame. The book corners are die cuts (MFT) and again heat embossed with black powder. Some washi tape pieces were added on the book spine.

Products used:
Square links stencil
Trendy butterflies stamps

And some web challenges- Letter B things- Book cover, Bird- for Emerald Creek
Anything but cute- Celebrate your style- sure not  cute and my Steampunk/Vintage style
