Emden II And FFO´s Smiles

As in ridiculous cold, in Emden it was! With which I join Nicole´s FFO.
A monkey-face is still a face, right? Ccccold...

In Emden the guys are tough! He looks quite relaxed, don´t you think?

Since last Emden-post seemingly did not bore you to death and since Ingo asked when I will have finished this so I can show you part two of our trip... here comes an East-Frisian pic-galore of the historic region in Lower Saxony, that hopefully makes you smile and get more at Annie´s Smiles.
Here goes:

I love boat-related stuff! And water...

Back at the Birthday-Boy. Emden is just 30 minutes from Holland and we got served their beer:

Much better than the sweet cake which we shared the smallest slice of out of courtesy.
And back to the hotel, accompanied for half way by the Brother:

Quite idyllic, don´t you think?

Back at he hotel, as we are not that tough...

The next morning:

I love those paintings.
.. bye-bye Emden, see you in August when we have to attend the wedding.

Off we went direction Bückeburg...

Next time (maybe).

Emden I

Last Sunday we took off direction Emden to visit Ingo´s Brother.

... that was what we found the next morno - Ingo´d taken off the fur from his winter-jacket and I left Gurri at home and wore a lighter jacket.
It was COLD!
With an ice fierce wind.

On the way to Ingo´s Bro...

Between Brunch and Birthday cake...

So much for today, I don´t wanna bore you to death...

More soon, if you like...

James Tiberius, WAIT!

It seems like Captain James Tiberius Kirk now visits Europe´s  coasts!
And it seems he lives in Kempen now, too! How I know? See:

 ... heaven? ... hell?
No, I think rather Emden!

This is what I found on FB:
"The world - infinite expanses
This is the adventures of U.P.P. Enterprise The Bergh family are on the road in their Arto 72L to discover foreign worlds from Spain to northern Finland - uninhabited habitats, new sights and pure nature. The U.P.P. Enterprise is taking them to regions where no man has been before."
They also - sadly just in German and as short stories - have some adventures here.

And with KK - NC 1701 they have the perfect number plate, too.

We should´ve played lotto that Sunday!

Ingo drove extra slow so they overtake us and I can take a pic.
How fun to start a journey like this!

This is certainly for Tom´s Signs2 and I have one more sign, one of kindness!
We were celebrating Ingo´s Brother´s 50´s Birthday and were asked what we wanna do between brunch and afternoon-cake-time (brrrr, sweets ahead).

Ingo said we wanna go into town and see if we find an ordinary watch for me. No smart-watch or such, just a cheapy.
I was wearing a red Braunschweig-Lions jumper.
Why I tell you this?

The boyfriend of the bride-to be´s Mother, H from Holland, collects watches.
For the cake-party he came along with this for me!:

He put in new batteries and it runs absolutely precise, too!

My saver - it seems there are no cheapy non-smart-watches available anywhere anymore!!! I roamed many a store - nada!! Same in your place?

Next I´ll be to the city (maybe not today as I´ve frozen my butt off enough these last days!) to get a nice Braunschweig-postcard to send as a thank you 😘

Calm down, Henry! We now have the time also when we´re not at the PC!

T STands For Training

My ticket to Elizabeth´s T - hmmm, this was super-yummy!!
The journal...

Monday: Work, bakery, sketching. Woah, my life is so exciting!

Tuesday: Compared English version 8 > 10 and altered the German document when suddenly... it was one of THOSE documents where the translation company translated all the pseudo-code!
And I only realized after several pages.
Well done, Proofreader... not! He hadn´t seen that at all!!!
Left the workplace after 8 hours. `Nough is enough!
And started cleaning my private PC-place.

One little session of training.

Wednesday: Got help from the ESE-colleague with that word-document. She is very patient, we had fun and I learned A LOT again
After the formatting I turned towards the darn "German pseudo-code" and couldn´t believe my eyes.
It wasn´t even translated correctly!

"System shall activate..." they translated as if it says "System activates..."

2 sessions of sport and I feel it does me good.

Thursday: Worked 06-09:00 am. Went for the eye-app at 09:30.
Was in for the actual doctor at 11:55 and out 12:02.
But that counts as sport, all the walking, later two training sessions - I get back on track!

Friday: When you work on a document and the program gets a hiccup and shows "tempxxx.docx" or such.... do NOT listen to people telling you to just save it under the correct name.
Close it "cold" and you lose only the last 10 minutes (or what you told your program to save automatically).
I lost most of Thursday.
I had colleague J and she helped me around, plus we had some nice lille chats on the way.
By golly, the whole translated pseudo-code was back, too.
Big glass recycling and I have the next bottle right here. Carrot-mango, hmmm.
2 training sessions and Ingo ordered Greek food.

Weekend: Saturday: Lazy morno and then clean-up.
Later tried watercolors. Boy... tough.
Sunday: After some hiccups off to Ingo´s Brother.

Art-wise:

And.... YUM:

That was the last self-made piece... Time soon to bake again!

To less stress!

Hi Five

Yupp, back at WACA, Perth.
It´s such a beautiful series, I think.

This certainly is for Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

When you read this we´re NOT on the road, thanks to Ingo´s Brother.
German-wide all public transport is on strike today and we had to drive to Emden some 300km away. Just because Ingo´s Brother turns 50 and wants to party.

Instead of choosing next Saturday it has to be on his Birthday, in the the working week, cause holidays grow on trees. This is annoying enough. Turning 50, so what?
This year I have to be so careful not wasting holidays as I need them for Perth.

I asked Ingo to drive Sunday already, before the big chaos starts. No!!
Start 05:00 am (which is 04:00 am as we switch to summer time) and try to go before big traffic.

Luckily  his Brother, too, suggested we drive Sunday and Ingo agreed.
If we make it in one piece and if there is WiFi I might pop in to blogger world, but don´t count on that.

Henry 🦁

No traffic jam, please, or worse...
And please wish us FUN. (FIL (family in law... plus likely a huge boxer-dog > stress))
Please also wish the hotel has heating!!!
As you can guess I´m writing this before we take off.

Have a happy mural-day! I´ll check later on your beautiful finds.
