The "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" is a wonderful movie, whitty, funny, sad, I laughed, I cried.
I saw myself in 30 years and HOPE I´ll be fun then. If alone. Or not? What is the movie about?
Trying. And succeeding, no matter how bad times go.
A group of retirees - strangers - go to an Indian Hotel that just opened up with hard difficulties.
The movie is...
Of being kind and not even knowing you are.
Of panicking, of making up.
Of braving up.
Trust.
Caring for one each other.
Even if you are actually "strangers".
I wanted to give it to the red phone booth, to the students.
But I think I´ll keep it for real dark days.
It´s about life. We have but ONE.
I wanna see "the top of the mountain". Be free. take off, FLY.
(I love Ingo and but Ingo, don´t get me wrong).
I had nice Indian colleagues, male and female 😘
We worked side by side and shared home-made food on Birthdays.
Chatted.
Sadly it was not enough for friendships.
It´s about loyalty.
The woman who lost her Hubby ends with these words:
The only real failure is the failure to try - and the measure of success is how we cope with disappointment - as we always must. We came here - and we tried.
All of us, in our different ways....
Too scared of disappointment.
We get up in the morning, we do our best.
Nothing else matters.
And the movie has a happy ending.
And it´s so British and wise.
The person who risks nothing - does nothing - has nothing.
All we know about the future is that it will be different.
Perhaps, what we fear is that it will be the same.
So we must celebrate the changes.
Because as someone once said: Everything will be allright in the end.
And if it´s not allright - impressed me, it´s not yet the end...
A wonderful, clever movie, ... speaking of last post... it was British English and funny to hear.
Tea-time with milk, of course 😁

He would love to meet these people and places!
I never stopped a movie so often to write down what I hear / listen to.
