**Placenta previa: placenta is fully or part located over cervix. Sx painless vaginal bleeding. Cesarean section, r/f post-partal hemorrhage. **Placental abruption: placenta separates from the uterine wall. Sx painful cramping, vaginal bleeding, fetal distress & contractions that may seem continuous. Baby r/f still birth or severe birth defects. Mother r/f pp hemorrhage, shock & may need med to help the uterus contract after delivery. If the baby is 36+ weeks, indication for immediate delivery
