ZZ care:

These plants are NOT beginner friendly! Reason being- most new plant parents want to actually CARE for their plant. These plants would much rather you set them in a sunny window and forget they exist for a month or so 🤦🏼‍♀️

Notice I said “place them in a sunny window”? The internet deems these as “low light plants” but quite frankly these NEED sunlight, for several reasons!

#1 - without proper sunlight these may survive longer then your average houseplant, but they won’t thrive or give you decent growth. If they do grow they’ll look leggy and weird without many leaves on that stalk. Try putting them IN a window.

#2 - these are super sensitive to over watering, and without good sunlight, the pot can Plants Diy, Sunny Window, Zz Plant, Low Light Plants, Diy Plants, Fake Plants, Low Light, Green Living, Plant Lover

I didn’t believe the hype until I tried them out for myself! Now it’s clear (pun intended 😉) why so many plant people love them for their indoor plants. 🪴 It’s so easy to just take a quick look and know if it’s time to water and how the roots are growing.

Samantha Hermann on Instagram: "Keep your plants thriving with a little support! 🌿

But first, comment ‘pilea’ for supplies & a discount code for these clip lights!

Staking helps encourage stronger growth and prevents bending.

Pilea tips:

Light: Pilea peperomioides, also known as the Chinese Money Plant, thrives in bright sunlight. Place it near a west or south window to keep it happy. Or consider adding a grow light!

Watering: Water your Pilea when the top half of soil feels dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Allow excess water to drain away to prevent waterlogged soil.

Well-Draining Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix to ensure good aeration for the roots. A mix of equal parts potting soil, perlite and orchid bark works well to prevent waterlogg How To Propagate Peperomia, Pistia Water Plant, How To Propagate Pilea, Pennywort Plant In Water, Pilea Peperomioides Propagate, Orchid Soil, Pilea Peperomioides, Orchid Bark, Clip Lights
