1970s Fashion

The preferred skirt length in the early 70s was still the mini skirt, but it was soon replaced by the midi and maxi skirts. By day women wore a variety of styles like wrap dresses, leisure suits, jumpsuits, Boho or Edwardian style dresses, etc. By night, Disco looks ruled with Grecian style dresses & jumpsuits made of shimmery synthetic fabrics meant to grab your attention. Also emerging during this era was Punk fashions and Athletic wear. The 1970s woman had an independent sense of style.
