All you need: 250g Greek yogurt 250g self-rising flour 2 tbsp olive oil That’s it. No drama. Mix everything in a bowl. When it turns into a dough, leave on your countertop for 30 mins (because dough needs me-time too 😌). Then divide into 4, shape into a ball and let them rest again for 20 mins: because apparently, they’re tired. Roll them out thin like your patience on a Monday , cook on a hot pan until both sides look golden and fabulous. Cover with a clean towel to keep them soft and warm like a good hug. #Foodace #foodacespices #foodporn #londonfoodblogger #london #foodie | FoodAce | Facebook

L like to double up the recipe below and make 2 at a time to have in the freezer 😉 🍞 350g Wholemeal Flour 🍞 50g Plain Flour 🍞 50g Porridge Oats 🍞 2 tsp Bread Soda/Bicarbonate of Soda 🍞 Good Pinch of Salt 🍞 2 Eggs 🍞 3 tblsp Veg Oil 🍞 400ml Buttermilk You can make your own buttermilk by adding lemon juice to milk. My grandmother used to also use any sour milk she had in the fridge! I've not tried this myself You can also experiment with adding grains, seeds, wheat germ etc as you like. • Preheat oven to 200°C. • Place all dry ingredients into a large bowl, making sure to sieve your plain flour and bread soda. • Whisk eggs and oil together. • Make a well in the centre and add your wet ingredients. • Mix well to combine. • If it's not wet enough add a bit more buttermilk • Place mix into a 2 lb loaf tin or 2 1lb tins. • Cook for 1 hour. After kneading them and making them into your bagel shape, give them a quick egg wash, sprinkle on some seeds if you’re feeling fancy, then bake at 180° for 20 mins. I feel like I haven't seen it on a menu in years. Is it not a thing anymore? There would always be thick wedges of cheese, some lovely homemade bread, proper slices of ham with salad and a big heap of pickle! I thought I'd recreate the joy of a Ploughman's in my herb bread! This is the easiest, no kneading, no proving, quick bake bread. Have this when it's still warm, with loads of butter and it will take you right back! Th recipe's below, let me know what you think, A x Feeds 4-6 500g self raising flour 1 tsp baking powder 110g butter 140g cheddar cut into 1cm squares A handful of finely chopped ham 6 sundried tomatoes finely chopped 80g small chunk sandwich pickle 1 tsp dried Thyme 1 tsp dried oregano 200ml milk (plus extra for her top) A little milk to brush on top Heat the oven to 190C (fan) Place the flour in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the baking powder and season wuth salt and pepper. Add the butter. Use your finger tips to rub it into the flour until it disappears. Stir in the cheddar, ham, sundried tomatoes, pickle and dried herbs until evenly dispersed. Add the milk Use your hands to mix it together until you have a thoroughly combined dough. Place the dough on a large greased or lined baking tray press it down until you have a thick circle roughly 20cm across. Brush the top of the loaf with a little milk. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. If the top is cooking too quickly, just cover it on foil for the last few minutes of baking. #ekmek #like #viral #halimeninmutfağıı | halimenin_mutfagii | Facebook
