Nick and Matt Massie better known as Nick and Matt Jackson and collectively known as The Young Bucks are authors and professional wrestlers currently signed to AEW. Hailing from Montebello, California the brothers have a five-year age difference with Matt being born on March 13, 1985, and Nick on July 28, 1989.

The brothers began training in 2001 at Revolution Pro Wrestling School under Ron Rivera, Scorpio Sky and Super Dragon. They made their professional wrestling debuts in 2004 for Revolution Pro and Revolution X. Alongside Brandon Cutler, they ran their own shows and launched their own promotion, High Risk Wrestling.

They performed regularly throughout the West Coast scene and in 2005 adopted their name The Young Bucks. As the Bucks, they gained further exposure by appearing for NWA the following year, but it was in PWG during 2007 they became breakout stars.

Their star continued to rise and the duo signed with TNA in 2009 becoming Jeremy and Max Buck of Generation Me in the process. During this time they also appeared on the independent scene, regularly appearing for promotions such as Dragon Gate, CHIKARA and ROH.

Under the ROH and PWG banners, the Bucks thrived. They won both promotions’ World Tag Team Championships three times while establishing themselves as one of the most popular acts in the wrestling industry. While in PWG they formed The Mount Rushmore of Wrestling. A faction that involved Adam Cole and Kevin Steen.

In 2013, the brothers became members of the NJPW roster. They made an immediate impact by joining the Bullet Club before going on to win the Super Jr. Tag Tournament followed by the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.

The duo excelled in Japan. As influential members of the Bullet Club, they helped usher in Kenny Omega as the new leader of the faction. The Bucks expanded the group in the U.S. by adding Adam Hangman Page, Cody Rhodes and Adam Cole to the ranks.

During their time in Japan, they became the record-setting seven-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and the three-time NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions.

In 2017-18, the Bucks were influential in the planning, promotion and execution of the biggest independent show of all time and precursor to AEW, All In. The following year alongside, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and Adam Hangman Page, the Bucks announced the arrival of All Elite Wrestling. It was later revealed that the brothers had signed a five-year deal with the promotion as performers and Executive Vice Presidents.

Once the promotion launched the Bucks were instrumental in forming one of the best tag team divisions in professional wrestling. At the promotion’s inaugural event, the duo defeated the Lucha Bros. As the Elite, they began a long-standing faction war with Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle.

In 2020, the Bucks defeated FTR to become AEW’s fourth World Tag Team Champion. Following the title win, the brothers rejoined Omega who had brought in their former Bullet Club stablemates, The Good Brothers and Adam Cole to form the Super Elite.

During this time the Bucks became the first-ever two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions and upon Omega’s return from injury were crowned the inaugural Trios Tag Team Champions in 2022.

The Elite trio competed in a Best of Seven series against Death Triangle. In the final match of the series, Escalera de la Muerte (Ladder Match) saw the Elite reclaim the trios titles, becoming the first two-time champions in AEW.
