Ivy Lab release the 2nd E.P of their Winter 2020 trilogy of releases with help from elusive South London Rapper Rocks FOE.

A month on from the “Fidget E.P,” Londoners Gove & Jay (​Sabre & Stra​y) are dropping 5 more tracks taken from a prolific summer of beat-making - squeezed into the aperture that followed Lockdown#1.

Shifting in mood somewhat from the jaunty playfulness of its proceeding entry in the series, this latest E.P has a far more hostile outlook. Unsettling from the get-go with the B-Movie inspired title track, by the time you’re half way through the E.P, there’s an assault of vocal chops from the track ‘Gutted’ proclaiming ​I’M PISSED THE FUCK OFF, I’M MAD​ as they flicker between edits of a Lynn Collins breakbeat.

Witty South London rapper Rocks FOE (​Black Acre / Fire in the Booth​) jumps onto ‘Dark Horse’ with a grime-streaked flow and tommy-gun delivery in a rare appearance for Rocks to make on somebody else's beats.

The doom of its opening withdraws in place of warmth as the E.P closes up with the tracks ‘Pain’ & ‘Together Plus Mute’ - the former channeling a distinctly Dipset bravado, the latter bringing the energy down significantly to provide a warm-blanket-hug. As with the ‘Fidget E.P’, the series comes accompanied by a gallery of images from photographer Above Ground whose shots give mood and accent to their partner-track.
