A Kickstarter of Interest: The Odds Are Against Us: A Military Fiction Anthology
My friend Jim Wilsky is going to have a story in a new anthology of military fiction called THE ODDS ARE AGAINST US, and the publisher is looking for more stories as well as funding through a Kickstarter project. This isn't really a market for military science fiction, although near-future (in the next decade) SF is acceptable. You can read about the Kickstarter here, and if you're interested in writing a story for the book, you can find all that information here. I'm backing this project and look forward to reading the book.

A Kickstarter of Note: Sword of Wood - Chuck Dixon
Lord William Corrington, the second baron of Corrington and Knight of Christ is a warrior in the Holy Lands at the time of the First Crusade. Tired and disillusioned by years of war, William journeys home to his manor and village along with his squire, Pilsen, only to find the fields and hovels empty and his wife and children gone.
A Dominican friar named Henri DuChamps is the only soul remaining and is forted up in the village church. The friar is glad to see William, but is angered with his absence, stating that while the men of England were out fighting God’s war, Satan has come to take England in the form of an army of vampyres. He tells William of a rampaging horde of monsters that he has been stalking for a year. They sweep down on villages to kill and abduct all they find. They are an army of Satan’s and their ranks swell with each attack. A dark red-haired lord and agent of the Devil called only Kerioth, or ‘The Apostle,’ leads them.
William cannot know if his wife and children have been taken as feedstock or have joined the blood-sucking host.
I'll read just about anything Chuck Dixon wants to write, and this graphic novel looks excellent. You can find out the details about it here.

New Kickstarter for Pariah, Missouri
My friend Andres Salazar has a new Kickstarter project up for the hardcover edition of his Weird Western graphic novel PARIAH, MISSOURI. You can check it out here. This looks like it's going to be a very entertaining series.

Justice Machine Update From Mark Ellis
COUNTDOWN TO THE JUSTICE MACHINE'S RETURN OR FINAL CURTAIN!
Only six days away from the close of the Kickstarter campaign to fund the publication of THE JUSTICE MACHINE: OBJECT OF POWER graphic novel.
As I've said before, the art on the book is complete...we're running the campaign mainly so the artists can be compensated what they're owed by the former publisher but also to finance the book's lettering, production and printing. Our funding goal is the bare minimum of the money needed to see it through.
So here is a page by David Enebral and Jason Jensen with the display lettering (sound effects added). It would be a shame all around if this is the only place people see this work (that guilt-trippy enough for ya?)

The Return of the Justice Machine
I remember buying, reading, and enjoying the first issues of THE JUSTICE MACHINE back in the Eighties, when it was the first superhero group comic book from an independent publisher. Now series creator Mark Ellis, who's also the author of many fine action/adventure novels, is bringing back THE JUSTICE MACHINE in an all-new graphic novel being funded through Kickstarter. You can find all the details here. I'm backing this one and look forward to reading the finished book.

Pariah, Missouri: A Kickstarter Campaign You Should Check Out
1857. Pariah, Missouri is a riverboat boom-town and a haven for the unscrupulous. The charismatic Hy Buchanan works undercover as a foppish cheat, and creates a rag-tag team to ferret out evil, both the corruption of man and the supernatural. His first challenge is the arrival of a duo of thespians, whose intentions are not to entertain.
The script by Andres Salazar and the art by Jose Pescador look good on the sample pages on the website. I plan to contribute to this, and if you're a Weird Western fan you might want to, as well.
