The Long Way Home
05:07
|

|
Under the moonlit sky
Where leaves take their final flight
He is there, counting the times
He waited in the endless night
For someone who could see
His pure heart hiding somewhere
Behind his clothes, old and dirty
But nobody was ever there
Just one more lonely heart under the stars
One more cry that echoes so far
They’re wondering if they'll see the light
And if they'll take the long way home tonight
A cold and vicious breeze
The bitterness falls to her knees
Disturbing whispers saying "Please
I wanna lay you down with ease"
Those words she cannot hear
Over the grunts that fill her ears
Soon they will quickly disappear
Leaving a capital souvenir
Just one more lonely heart under the stars
One more cry that echoes so far
They’re wondering if they'll see the light
And if they'll take the long way home tonight
They wait for one more day to end
So they can dry their shameful tears
Believing that tomorrow won't be the same
But who is there to blame
When the dusk is clearing
Just one more lonely heart under the stars
One more cry that echoes so far
They’re wondering if they'll see the light
And if they'll take the long way home tonight

Empty Traces, Pt.1
05:17
|
|||
|
A world on fire turning to smoke
The life we dreamed of : another road.
Naked on the sand, our own lives in their hands
Crushing applause…
The ashes falling down like snow
Millions of voices flying low
Children crying, fathers gone with the wind
Blowing back to their peaceful homes
An eastern breeze on the rise
A glimpse of hope in their eyes
A sea of blood and victory
They suffered in here for so long
Wishing for freedom or just one song
Pray God is here, but does he listen? No.

Garden of Souls
06:27
|

Drums echo in memory
Cold heartbeats, lost cries of the sea
As freedom is never free
Some pay for who we ought to be
Garden of souls, we tend to thee
Each bloom a life they've taken for free
Rest under these skies of blue
Their colors will fade at the coming of fall
In the cold of the shade, their roots will stand tall
Long as their memories stay true
Their beauty shall live on in you
Time rushing to pass them by
No goodbyes, just flickering fire
Blinded by shrieking light
They dream for a new day to rise
Garden of souls, we tend to thee
Each bloom a life they've taken for free
Rest under these skies of blue
Their colors will fade at the coming of fall
In the cold of the shade, their roots will stand tall
Long as their memories stay true
Their beauty shall live on in you
Forever in debt
To those who stood stall
No shame or regret
But only the fear to fall
In life or in death
They give us the sky
As with their last breath
Our flag will begin to fly
Garden of souls, we tend to thee
Each bloom a life they've taken for free
Rest under these skies of blue
Their colors will fade at the coming of fall
In the cold of the shade, their roots will stand tall
Long as their memories stay true
Long as their memories stay true
Long as their memories stay true
Their beauty shall live on in you

Petrichor
10:26
|
|||
|
The leaves are dancing
Moved by the summer breeze
The boys are playing and laughing by the trees
I rock my chair slowly
No one could take this moment from me
The bells are ringing
Can't seem to hear them now
I call out for them
The clouds are getting darker now
Don't play these silly games
Dinner's getting colder, my dears
Night has fallen
The moon can't light my way to you, oh no
The skies weep as the worst of my dreams are comin' true
The shadows came and took you out of sight
No hope for guiding light
My sinking heart does no more than survive
Winter is colder
With no hand to hold
Faces passing by in a blur
They've no thought for me
Just some blind regret
Can we just skip this story
To the end?
Stars paint what I gazed at when I saw you last
Tears all burn in
Fires of our future past
On the road I feel your souls inside me bloom, my darlings
I sigh and breathe in the petrichor of early June
I see your lights that guide me through the night, stronger with every sight
I close my eyes to feel you one last time

Empty Traces, Pt.2
05:33
|
|||
|
The streets are silent though I seem to hear
The cries of children that are nowhere near
And in the darkness lies things we wish our eyes could unsee
These wondrous places in a world we've known
Have turned to graveyards made of fear and stone
The world is standing still so I take my quill and I write
Under the rain of gods, we'll trust in ordinary men to shine some holy light
Yet all we seem to know is things we cannot change sometimes were never meant to be

The Passing

The Passing
Part I : Overture/The Sea of Life
Dreams reflect through silent waves
Above the shores of reality
Winds of hope and winds of change
Alter our destiny
The sea of life, ever so dry
Is left untouched by ecstasy
Full of whys and full of cries
Authentic Eternity
Soaring up out of the sea
Are all your fears that used to be
All are gone yet still unknown to me
All but one, the darkest fear :
The death of your serenity
In the uncharted abyss of the sea
Part II : Denial
Stuttering in disbelief
You think the world is wrong
Old friends last forever
He'll wake with just a song
And see the light of day
The incandescence of May
Galaxies between what you seek and what you see
Looking for the orbit to guide him back to sea
Where all the lives he saved
Vanished in the waves
The waves of dreams
That have drowned your soul it seems
Now imprisoned
In an endless river's stream
Only hope for life
Are piercing solar beams
Only rope or knife
Will kill the inner beast
Part III : Anger
As darkness forms around me
The pain flows through my veins
This broken soul too young to bury
Will turn a heart to flames
And I cry for life
To ignite the night
A memory scarring in the conscience
An unrepayable debt
These three final words to break the silence
Are just echoes of regret
Part IV : Bargaining
Part V : Depression
In the river, lonesome river
Let me drift away, from this sea of regrets
Agony weighs on my shoulders
And I will sink away, in my tears of yesterday
My senses retreat, admitting defeat
My spirit, incomplete
If I fall so deep, my eyes will not see
Your heart there with me, a blind fantasy
Part VI : Acceptance
Disappearing in the light
The Tower of Babel now behind
There to gain eternal life
To this unearthly place you rise
And as the sun shines on your face
You leave us with such a grace
Reaching the end of the race
You'll rest in this unearthly place
Forever is the end, the winds stop blowing on the shore
Uncovering the land that left you dry forevermore
As you rise to the sky, the clouds will welcome in your soul
‘Till the rain pours down once more…
