kristin ides psychotic screams slice through soft sounds, a terrible testament to how far we have fallen, to how little we value life.

do you keep dancing as your step over dead bodies on the street?

if you've got it all figured out, congrats, i guess—but you won't get this.

can you feel the weight of death worship all around? or does still nothing move you?

about

a place called home, the debut full length LP from j.demar, is a haunted elegy for the soul in exile. across instrumental landscapes and sparse, aching melodies, the album traces the outline of something once beautiful—now shattered, buried, or forgotten. it’s a record born from the wreckage of modern life, where family, faith, and meaning are traded for convenience, image, and control.

there are no easy answers here—only echoes.

bells toll in the distance for things we barely remember but deeply miss. the songs wrestle with abandonment, the brutal efficiency of modern institutions, and the way faith endures, even when everything else collapses. layers of noise rise and fall like memory itself, concealing delicate motifs beneath distortion and decay—moments of grace flickering in the static.

a place called home isn’t nostalgic.
it’s a reckoning.
it is witness.

it is a soundscape for those who still believe in love, in sacrifice, in something real - for those who have been exiled from home but refuse to forget.

home is actual heaven on earth.

additional musicianship on, what's mine is yours is ours, provided by softsounds.

thank you for being here, for enduring, and for continuing to create. this song would not exist as it does without you.

it's yours/ours.

additionally, WMIYIO is dedicated to the woman whose voice trembles through this track—raw, unraveling, unfiltered.

her breakdown was real.
her agony unscripted.
caught in the jaws of a world that chews up human beings and spits them out onto concrete.

to all those crying out while everyone and everything turns their back:

you are not crazy.
you are not trash.
you are not forgotten.

you are a soul under siege.

this is your remembrance.

this is a candle lit in sound.

a prayer, for you.
