tower_of_yaztromo Some absolute gems on this one. "What Part of... Don't You Understand" is a perfect song. Lots of these made me laugh out loud, "Fortune Favor the Bold" "Rednecks" etc - definitely worth your money

sporkova These annual tapes, and "Worst Case Scenario" on this one, are pure joy and encouragement for anyone who values the boldness of just putting out stuff. I want it both ways - and am deeply grateful to artists like Jeffrey Lewis who deliver. Favorite track: Worst Case Scenario.

Phil Scholes Every Jeffrey Lewis album is a joy but the one that really makes me smile on this is "things that people give me". I heard it for the first time at a gig this week and it should be the theme song/mantra for my whole family!

about

Jeffrey says:
When I started making up songs in the late 90s I would usually make a tape full of songs at least once a year. It was all from following the example of how Daniel Johnston had done it. All my 20+ years of recording songs I owe to Daniel! Here's a tape of some stuff from 2023, for whoever might be interested. Actually this one is a little bit fancier because on April 24, 2024 I had an opportunity to go into a NYC recording studio, with my full band, plus studio engineer Travis Harrison, and producer Gordon Raphael, and we recorded and mixed 17 songs in one day! Here's most of those recordings, plus some additional home recordings from 2023.
