about

The whole structure of the EP - with the emphasis on community and the simultaneous contrary motion of looking outward but becoming more intimate - came to represent this core idea, that the most personal is the most universal.

The journey along the tracklist is a process of opening- it’s about making the inside outside, which was reflected in the collaborative nature of the record. Because of this, ‘Open, A Home’ comes to be activistic and quietly political.

The ‘universal’ side of things is a way to speak about humans the environment - realising that our internal selves are actually intensely shared is the route to overcome the world’s greatest challenges.

It’s about re-connecting with the roots and the environment of our world, and at the same time expanding our collective capacity for empathy and realising our personal experience is always part of a broader shared experience.
