If we want to be able to trust that our emotions are reflecting the truth, then we must hold them up to the truth of the Scriptures.
“I feel like God is angry with me.
I feel like God is disappointed.
I feel like God is mad.
He’s not going to take care of me.
There is no hope.”All of these are lies, no matter how real they feel.
If you want to align your emotions with the truth, you need to go to the Word and find out what God says and thinks about you.
In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.
Hi! Sorry I only get to answer now! I have a feeling my answer will disappoint you because you wouldn’t be asking this question if you weren’t looking for a compelling answer.
When it comes to such questions, I personally want to just trust God rather than debate on this. I know His Word is true and comes directly from Him. And if His Word says that He created the earth in seven days, then this is either literally true - the question is then how many hours had a day back when God just created them :P - or it’s a literary device of the peculiar and fascinating ancient Hebrew style of writing and only metaphorical.
In a way, it isn’t of importance because we know for a fact that God is the Creator and King over the whole world today, He always was and He’ll always be that.
So instead of believing one of the theories and later finding out I believed the wrong theory my whole life, I am content with leaving it up to God to reveal the real truth to us, IF He chooses. And if He stays silent, He is still trustworthy and faithful.
One more thing: I don’t know how you’d define “God-directed evolution” but I’d just like to point out that the macro-evolution (species transforming into different species) that is part of how the evolution theory explains creation has never been observed on earth before.
There are two things we can be sure of: if God thinks it is necessary for us to know the exact way He made the earth, He will reveal it to us, if it is not important, He won’t; and the second thing is whatever way He chose - 7 days or His way of evolution - His decision was perfect. :)

Hey, thanks for reaching out to me. That’s very brave of you. I’m so sorry that you’re struggling with that.
I’d like you to consider this, God is always faithful to His promises. The number one thing you need to remember is that He will always forgive you and will never love you any less than He did before you were born.
However, people have to do deal with feelings. We might not feel like forgiving others or ourselves because the feeling of guilt is overwhelming us. Likewise we might not even feel loved by God or worthy of love. But we know for a fact that that’s not true.
It’s important to seperate feelings from the truth. So when you feel like you can’t forgive yourself, hold on to the sober truth that God has forgiven you and He wants you to forgive yourself.
Also, please pray for Him to help you with this. Just pour your heart out to Him. God won’t forsake you.
“Classical evolutionary theories are swallowed so uncritically and readily, without a murmer of protest.” Due to an unfortunate and painful encounter this week, I’d love to share with you guys what my Bible says about Creation. Just in case your trust in God’s power and where you really come from are shaken.

I’m so sorry for your loss. God is with you and your family and of course with him! We have no idea what amazing things God has in store for him now.
I’m relieved by how well you trust God in this nevertheless. That verse is so encouraging indeed! Please keep these words of your Lord before your eyes for a while now. He is ready to give you strength. And whatever you need now, talk to Him. I will pray for you, your family and your situation.

I don’t know who you are or why you’re asking this but this question comes just at the right time.
I have a friend who is very dear to my heart and whom I love a lot. He is one of my biggest inspirations and spiritual guides right now. God is speaking to me through him a lot.
As is common in this church, evangelizing is very important to them and my friend taught his church’s doctrine to me, as well. I did not mean to put myself in jeopardy of being influenced by false teaching, nevertheless I received his message with an open mind and left it up to God to verify or falsify that message to me.
I can’t exactly say that God has encouraged me to investigate Mormonism any further. Now I know there are people who call this church dangerous and blasphemous. There are many rumors out there of what they teach, like that people can become gods. However, I can tell you with certainty that if you know a member, each of these rumors will either vanish quickly or they will explain to you why they believe that.
Comparing the teachings of the Mormon church with any other church is useless since no church or denomination is perfect or has 100% of the truth, in my opinion.
Yet, comparing the Mormon doctrine to the Bible, which is 100% the truth, could make you believe that their teaching is not fully correct.
It is an issue I struggle with, to be honest. I grew up in the Catholic Church and the more I got to know Jesus through Protestant friends, I realized how contrary to Scripture many teachings of the Catholics are.
However, and this is important:
I know people in the Catholic church can get really saved.
I know people in the Mormon church can get saved.
I know people who are not part of an organized community of believers can get saved.
We know that all the things surrounding church are good but not essential for salvation. We know that Jesus alone is what we need for salvation.
If you have Jesus + the Book of Mormon, BUT you really love Jesus, I think you’re safe.
If you have Jesus + pray to Mary, BUT you really fully love Jesus with all you are, I think you’re safe.
It might not be 100 % the truth, it’s more like truth + right or wrong extras.
But if you have Jesus, you’re good.

You can put links to your Tumblr page on your other social media, if you have that.
Posting frequently and quality content will attract people. Follow some people who you like. Maybe ask for a shoutout (I don’t know whether people do those on Tumblr, at all? ^^)
If you keep posting good stuff and interact with people, followers will come, trust me. :)

Hey! Don’t be ashamed of yourself! Remember to see yourself the way God does. To Him, you are precious!
I can relate to what you described. Remember, we’re all always sinning. There is no perfect person on earth. Don’t allow the evil one to only show you your shortcomings.
God knows that we fail all the time, that’s why He provided His awesome rescue plan!
Often times we think we are not ready for what is happening and what God calls us to. But please remember, He knows us better than we do. He knows when we’re really ready.
Just try your best to focus on God in every moment. Keep your eyes on Him and things will look clearer.
I understand it when you say you feel like you’re just falling back again. That’s what I felt like for a long time but in reality, change comes very slowly sometimes. It seems like it’s just back and forth while really you’re not noticing the slow change taking place. Don’t lose heart.
I am very sorry about your diagnosis! You are in my prayers.
I want you to think about this, Heaven is so much better than we can imagine. It can’t be compared to anything we know now.
God loves you so much, being in His Kingdom with Him forever will make you so happy, trust me. Please don’t be afraid of coming to Him one day.
I hope I could help you with these words. I tried to let God speak through me and I hope I got His message correctly.
God bless and please don’t be afraid to message me.
It’s about time I post this. I just graduated from school a few days ago and I would like to share with you what role God played in this.
All my final exams took place within a few weeks. Now how did I feel about that?
I felt like I was gonna fail them before I started studying, while I was studying, while I took them. And I felt like I failed them while I was waiting for my results.
Yet what did God say about this?
Even before I could talk to Him about it, He put something on my heart. He was going to provide for me. This is the message I received again and again during that period.
God promised me to help me before I could ask Him. Nevertheless, graduating was a physically and emotionally exhausting experience. How good is it that we don’t have to go through seasons like these on our own, but that we have a God who stays on our side?
So now, how did all of this turn out?
A few days before I got my results, God said ‘I can deliver you through this. But it’s ultimately up to Me. What you need to do now is pray a lot.’ That is what I did. Still I didn’t earn anything. It was God who said 'leave it up to Me’. I passed all my exams. But that isn’t exactly true. God contributed a lot more to this than I did.
Why am I telling you this? I just want to remind you guys, that if you ever need help in any area of life, remember that Jesus didn’t only save your soul, He can be your Savior in every aspect of life, if you let Him. Don’t try to handle things on your own, don’t reject the power God makes available to you.
