I'm Jesse Thomas Do, a systems architect, risk strategist, and conceptual engineer. I work across data infrastructure, platform compliance, and applied semiotics, using whatever AI tooling moves the work forward.
I spent eight years running risk systems at Capital One, then led Trust & Safety strategy at Google that protected more than $100MM in at-risk revenue. I also co-founded a company and built it from zero. Hand me a fragile system that has run for a decade, or ask me to stand up a new one from nothing; I've done both.
I build the systems myself and tie them to outcomes leaders care about. Where the field is still open, I invent: I'm a named inventor on a U.S. patent filing on blockchain-based credit risk, and I wrote a long essay on the unsolved problems in AI risk management.
Bring me in when the map doesn't match the terrain. I'll chart the next few miles, then help build the road.
I do my best work with:
- Platform and risk leaders standing up controls under real regulatory pressure
- Engineering and ops orgs holding together systems that no longer scale
- Founders and operators designing complex tech that has to actually hold up in production
I'm available for full-time roles, contract engineering, and strategic consulting.
