As someone who has moved around a lot, living in multiple states in the US, and multiple countries, home is something that has often not felt so solid to me.

At least, not in the way that perhaps it does for someone who spent their entire childhood in the same house, in the same neighborhood, with the same group of friends.

Nonetheless, there are people, places, and experiences that have come to define what home means to me. There are also musicians and musical cultures that feel that way to me too. These are some of the things that have come to define the way I see myself as a human, and a musician.

After 10 years of dragging my feet, I felt it was finally time to put my philosophy on home, music, and life into the world in recorded form.

With this music I express to you who I am, where I come from, and also where I hope to go, as well as the beautiful interpretation and expansion of that expression which the fantastic musicians on this album provided.

The music in this project could be defined as contemporary jazz with influence from artists like Brian Blade, Pat Metheny, and Ben Wendel, as well as some RnB/Neo-Soul moments, and there's also a moment with elements of Indian music influence here too.

Hopefully the music speaks to you. Thank you for listening.
