about

With this album, I went back to where my musical journey began. The Berlin School has always moved me deeply and influenced me since Klaus Schulze's “Blackdance” and Tangerine Dream's “Phaedra.”

The tracks are thematically rooted in the 70s and 80s. My memories of traveling through the GDR to get to West Berlin, whether by train or via the transit highway, have been incorporated into the music, as has a trip to Moscow for which I traveled from Bremen to West Berlin and then entered East Berlin to fly to Moscow on an Aeroflot plane from the airport there in 1979.

In connection with my time in the German Armed Forces' electronic reconnaissance unit and thus my involvement with Russia, which was a potential enemy at the time and is a real enemy today, there are many emotions that have flowed into the album.

With this album, I want to offer music that brings joy and pays respect to the past, to the Berlin School. This album is not about innovation, but about handmade music from the heart. Honest music from person to person.

Do I really have to say it again? Or should I even shout it out? ... Ok. ... There's no AI here. There's only me!

I would be very happy if I have succeeded in capturing the essence of the Berlin School while preserving my own unmistakable musical signature.

One more thing:
I've included a bonus track on the album. A space song named after the unusual comet that's currently flying through our solar system. 3I/Atlas.
