caostrye I enjoyed listening to the full album in sequence, but when the track Easy Section began, I literally felt my muscles relax and my mind calm. I looked at the Bandcamp app screen, read the song title, and had to laugh. I guess the vibe had been getting intense! What a talent Joerg has, to easily convey emotions like anxiety and relief without any words.
Kudos 👏 Favorite track: Easy section.

about

"Beyond" is more than just a word. In English, it signifies more than its literal definition. Here is a breakdown of the definitions of "beyond":

on or on the other side of (something): beyond time
at a greater distance than (something): beyond space
outside the boundaries or reach of (something): beyond imagination
more than (something): beyond life
for a period that lasts after (a certain date, age, etc.): beyond now
The human ability to look beyond the expected, beyond the real, beyond limits—to observe, to think, to fantasize, to philosophize—is one of the most significant traits that define us as humans. Human curiosity, especially the desire to explore the unknown, can propel us into the future, a future often discussed, scientifically analyzed, and largely accepted by society.

Unfortunately, we often underutilize these abilities. We live in the moment or dwell on the past, romanticizing it, and neglect to consider the consequences of our lifestyle. Consuming products we don't need, simply for the admiration of others, is foolish. Relaxing with hours of horror and zombie movies on Netflix is not, and never was, a productive use of time. Spending entire nights in virtual reality, detached from the real world, is detrimental.

People crave entertainment because it alleviates the need to think. This gradual disuse of our cognitive abilities leads to intellectual stagnation. Delegating responsibility to politicians, deities, or the "hopefully soon arriving" aliens is another common avoidance tactic. Distraction serves to prevent change, which is perceived as exhausting, unfamiliar, and potentially leading to a worse outcome.

No one can change the world alone, but everyone can change their own world. No one can dictate how others think, but everyone can alter their own thought processes, thereby influencing their decisions and actions.

As the world becomes increasingly chaotic, dangerous, and unpredictable, and as media outlets saturate us with negative, aggressive, and distressing news, the desire to escape intensifies, overshadowing the courage to initiate and shape necessary change.

However, humanity is accelerating towards the "beyond," driven by the allure of space—the atmosphere, the moon, Mars, and beyond. Technological advancements are rapidly expanding our reach. Conspiracy theorists and skeptics speculate that societal elites are rushing to leave Earth, anticipating its demise.

I do not subscribe to either of these notions. Neither do I believe in an imminent end, nor that it is already over. My curiosity propels me forward, and my longing to explore "behind," to listen, to feel, is boundless.

Composing music, exploring vast worlds, discovering new sounds, pushing beyond my abilities and expectations, and sharing my work with the public are integral to my personal evolution. This album is a culmination of the past few years. Musical motifs from the past have been interwoven with contemporary ideas, resulting in a collection of songs that will accompany me on my ongoing journey into the future.

This album can serve as the soundtrack for an unmade science fiction film, a glimpse into a potential reality, a voyage into the "beyond," or simply an hour of relaxation. If you, dear listener, enjoy any of the songs, or even the entire album, and if I have provided you with a few moments of contemplation, fantasy, or introspection, I would be happy and proud.

And I would be particularly delighted if you would share your thoughts, feelings, and images with me. The key to positive developments and necessary changes lies in connecting with others.

Thanks,

Joerg Dankert
