Now that the year is drawing to its close, we hope that those who intend contributing to the above fund will lose no time in sending in their Subscriptions to the Vicar or Mr. John Hugh Evans, the honorary secretary. Some are in the habit of delaying to subscribe till next year, forgetting that if they do not subscribe within the year, we are obliged to borrow the money at the Bank and pay interest (or it. Whereas if the subscribers were only to pay in good time, the necessity of borrowing would be obviated. The Subscriptions really ought to be paid in January and February. We are never in favour of borrowing. We know that this is a system much resorted to in some places of worship, but speaking for ourselves, we prefer having the money deposited in the Bank before issuing
