Don’t forget the piece right above the ear. It connects the front to the back. 3. Follow the natural growth pattern in the bang area. Take small, fine pieces for the softest blend. #foilingtips #foilhighlight #haircoloreducation #faceframe #denisemahoneyhair #colourauthority #portlandhair #brunette @beautylaunchpad @hairbrained_official @behindthechair_com @modernsalon @mastersofbalayage @hairvideoshow | Denise Mahoney|Balayage Educator|Portland Ore. | badkarma · glamorous x this girl - cover

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠: Following patterns helps avoid overlapping bleach applications, which can cause unwanted warm tones and hair breakage. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲: This approach maintains the client’s hair health over time, reducing the risk of damage and preserving overall hair integrity. By adhering to these patterns, I can achieve a more natural and lasting result while ensuring the client’s hair remains healthy. Don’t get me wrong. I love lowlighting too but i don't like that it fades. I do lowlights more on color correction. If my clients come in with a natural canvas i would love to use their natural color to create dimensions. #highlights #hairstylist #modernsalon #hairgoals #babylights | Thao Doan | San Jose Hair Stylist | Lynde · Perfect Fit

120K views · 5.6K reactions | How to add depth back into the hair👇👇👇 While there are many approaches to restoring depth, this is my favorite… When a client comes in with hair that has been over highlighted and needs more dimension, adding lowlights can be daunting and sometimes underwhelming. Traditional lowlights can get lost in the hair, fade fast, and sometimes look very artificial. Instead I like to do a dramatic root melt and wet balayage to create a new look. When working with an acidic demi permanent color like @redkenpro Shades EQ it possible to root melt over preexisting blonde and still see remnants of the highlights underneath. This creates a very authentic intentional looking color. This is one of the many reason a choose to work with a more translucent color. Not to mention a seamless blend and grow out. After the root melt is applied I will wet balayage simultaneously with flash lift Bonder inside and a low volume developer. I apply this method on damp hair and rinse when desired results are reached. If you found this helpful checkout my education page. Link in bio.
