Personal finance can seem daunting. Like you need to have everything figured out before you can even start. But nothing could be farther from the truth. Even if you only had $5, you could start thinking about money differently. Maybe you spend it the same way today, and tomorrow too. But just thinking about money at all - that's a good start. Keep it simple: just start writing down where your money goes. Over time, the trends will emerge and you can ask, "Huh. Do I want to spend that much on...?"

OMG! We took the dive! We put our whole life on pause and did it: we took a year off - to travel, to launch IBR, to work on our life projects, to raise a middle finger to "the grind..." The whole point of it all was for my husband and I to validate our assumptions about our forever retirement (and you thought there was only one kind of retirement - cute!!).
