Foil Christmas CardsHi everyone. Today I'm sharing a few of the Christmas cards I've made in the past week. I fell well behind making my cards in advance this year. Most of the ones I have made went to charity, so I thought I would take advantage of the large stash of beautiful foil card stock I had and make quick cards using embossing folders and die-cuts. These are just a few of the 40 I have made so far. :) My goal is to make a total of 75, so I'm over half way there and will be working to get the rest…
Foiling Tutorial #1Hi everyone, Is it too early to start making Christmas cards? Well, not for me. I LOVE Christmas, and start early making cards so I can share them with friends, family, soldiers stationed abroad (which is not nearly enough to thank them for all they do), nursing homes, etc. The tutorial I'm posting today is for the first part of a series on foiled cards. Did you know you actually DO NOT need a foiling machine to make beautiful foiled cards? Nope. If you have a laminator that uses heat- yep…

More Fun with GessoHi there. I'm so glad you stopped by! This Christmas tree came out kind of wonky, but I like it anyway. I used a stencil to smoosh gesso on kraft cardstock. When the gesso was dry, I replaced the stencil and used a sponge dauber to add some Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink over the gesso. I cleaned the stencil again while the ink dried and replaced it to trace around the edges with a Heat Active Pen and gold foil. Obviously I didn't have the stencil placed exactly right which caused the…

BelieveHi! I'm back with another card using Quietfire Design stamps. I haven't done this layout in a while - it's very simple but effective I think. Here I masked a panel to do a nighttime sky - tried masking some rays to imitate moonbeams... or star beams here I guess. I die-cut the stars out of gold and silver (reverse side) metal foil sheets and embossed the gorgeous word "Believe" in silver. Then I used my handy dandy white gel pen to add stars, maybe snowflakes... Thanks for looking! Recipe…
