Charles Hires, Philadelphia pharmacist, was on his honeymoon around the same time when he discovered an herbal tea. During honeymoon he was served root tea made up of sixteen wild roots and berries, including, pipsissewa, spikenard, juniper wintergreen, sarsaparilla, and hops.
