about

All proceeds from download sales will be donated to help Amena Al-Baba and her family.

Amena is a graphic designer and mother of four children trying to survive in Gaza. She is raising money to support her family and her husband's brother's family. Her eldest child, Jude, has a health condition that needs medical treatment. Her youngest, Maryam, is a baby and has lived almost her entire life under the current genocide. They are displaced, living in tents, and access to food, medicine and other supplies is extremely limited and expensive. Whatever you're able to spare will help them to survive until they are able to evacuate Gaza.

lyrics

People still ask me about you
I wish I didn’t want them to

You caught me at a weird time
I went out and didn’t come home
I’ve been taking calls but
Spending most my time alone

I heard you saw me in the background of a photograph

We used to spend our time sitting around wasting the day
You didn’t care that I never had anything to say

I guess I caught you at a bad time
Maybe you were heading out
It felt pretty weird that we
had nothing to talk about

And I swore I saw you the next morning driving past my house

We used to burn through days with the tv on planning what we’d do
It made the summer feel less like endless boring afternoons

I don’t know why we barely talk now
(Barely talk)
but it feels like my fault
(like my fault)
I never said I loved you
(I love you)
And now I’ve left it way too long
(way too long)
Now when I ask how you’ve been
It feels like you never really tell me
I just wish I knew how you’d been feeling lately

When people ask me about you I wish you’d tell me what to do

I’ve been sleeping, waiting here for you
