WAITING ROOM WORK

The beginning of my Christmas hexagon project....I received many inquiries
as to what this was, what it would be etc....so a good conversational
opener, too.

This is how my driveway looked on Thursday  morning when we took off:

All icey -----along with a snow-laden landscape....

My little blue spruce encased...

Bare branched roses

And
Snow-ey dried plants...

Here is my latest setting of my string blocks with a red center as opposed to the yellow center...which do you like better?

and

(I only had two done at this point...but you get the idea...)

I like the red center--not so "in your face"

And I may also do green with the golds...as an alternating block...

We are home and the patient is really coming along well....
Making soup for dinner on this frigid Saturday....

Hugs and thanks to all of you for your prayers and good wishes,
Julierose, La Blageuse (glad it's over-euse)

  1. I love the red centers on your string blocks, so cheery looking. Glad the procedure is over and you're both safely back home where the real healing can take place.

  2. Love your Christmas Hexi and the red center! Glad to hear you made it through the ice and snow. (Looks like our area. It's snowing right now.) Your flowers will come back again soon.

  6. Have you considered a sunshine and shadows setting. Timely. Alternating squares on point of red and yellow. Such rich colors.

  8. when one becomes a center, the outsides become a center after all blocks are done... if you use that setting. I love the way these colors blend and the shades.

  9. I like the red centre too, though I also like Ann's suggestion. I'm glad you made it through the snow okay. Stay warm!
