LAST OF THE OJOS

                                    I have very few blue scrap strips left ;
A few more in my pinks stash...very old pieces that i want to use
up also--(they may find their way as a backing for my Log Cabin Looney
piece....)
So these were the last four to be sewn today....

Here they are:
All set out ready to be sewn on either side and ends of
my ISF and ISR Ojos piece...
I have laid them out on my dining room table and will
transport them a few at
a time (all pinned) to my machine.

Here is how the sides will look...

When I first began to sew the pink variation, I didn't think I'd like them set up against
the darker centered ones; but, then I realized that if I continued the blues they
might just merge together well....Since the dark centers are so dark and vibrant
I think that the lighter pinks soften the main center very well.....
And being the scrap maven that I am, I love the variety of fabrics in
this piece..💓💕💗💜

Our Friday night supper will be homemade bean soup with slices of
sourdough boule.  Simple and filling....🙌😺

hugs for a wonderful weekend...

  1. I'm sad to see the last of your Ojos. The quilt top looks so pretty all laid out on your table. Dinner sounds yummy to me!

  4. Wow those are gorgeous. Dawn keeps sending me string quilt ideas. My string blocks are using up charity scraps so mine will remain willy nilly.
